I really want to know that if many fans have all come to the conclusion that the DMR's bloom was flawed, why didn't Bungie see it too? Sure, Bungie didn't have over a million playtesters to find it out during development, but it's rather blatant that it's optimal to spam rather than pace in the DMR's niche in any match when it is used, thus promoting randomness in a supposedly competitive game.

I want to know the logic of them leaving it the way it was between the "beta" and final builds when it's quite clear that there's a problem.

Perhaps they didn't think it was flawed. Perhaps they figured that a gun with the accuracy of a sniper rifle should have some kind of balance to it. Maybe they figured that since the gun can kill a guy with 5 bullets, giving the gun the ability to kill 3 guys with 1 mag should require something to make it a bit more tricky to use.

Except it's a precision weapon, and bloom doesn't stop it from cross-mapping. All default bloom does is provide inconsistency at the DMR's own supposed effective range and decide a "duel" at the roll of a dice rather than the aim and precision necessary.
Couple bloom with bullet magnetism and the lower damage per shot, and it promotes the spamming that bloom was meant to prevent.

Perhaps they should have stuck to the Battle Rifle then.

Actually, they should have done that anyway.

If you want the DMR to be balanced, it should not have the smaller circle in the middle of its reticle. That thing is the same size as the sniper rifles reticle. What it should have is a set of cross hairs like the BR had. Less precise, but still accurate, and bloom would affect it more like the ARs bloom, where the crosshairs expand outward as you fire.

RC Clone is the anti-thesis of a lurker.

BR in halo 3 was much more balanced. It couldn't cross map, had bullet travel time sort of, and it killed fast in its range. Unfortunately the sandbox was still littered with melee and beatdown clone weapons.

We need Eric's gun in Halo 5.

Single Shot weapons are more efficient and CE PC did it right by putting a limiter on the range of how far the Magnum could hit a target.

There's no doubt that the sandbox needs a buff, but the utility/utilities is the cornerstone of what is needed to achieve balance in Halo.

In realistic terms, yes, single shot weapons are more efficient, but in Halo, the BR was much more balanced than the DMR.

With good netcode bullet traveling can a good addition to gameplay. I.e battlefield.

A new more balanced DMR is need in the next one or it will fail.

No more paper mache vehicles, OP nades, beatdown only automatic weapons. Plasma force rifle and plasma concussion launcher both need to get added to expand the range of covenant weapons from just simple reimaginings of human weapons. Good base movement speed and jump height. Trick jumps on maps to allow for more movement options. Good designed maps that work. No single power positions handed to one side in the opening.

Except that Halo PC has already shown that single shot weapons can be balanced without the need for poor mechanics, and is in fact more balanced than the BR.

PC also had less weapons so balance was easier. Do you think they would lower the number of weapons?

Bloom is retarded, it makes bad people win fights they should not win and it forces me to slow down my shot so the kid with a neg k/d has a chance to kill me.

Because Bungie are bad at their game and so none of them were good enough to understand or take advantage of such blatant flaws
