Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

This thread is a perfect example of how STUPID this community is.

Yes.

Because it can work.
Who cares that you don't like it. Don't play it. I didn't play Gun Game on CoD...but it was there.

So next time...vote yes you -blam!- morons.

This thread really is a perfect example of why Halo is failing.
Because the community it's catering to...is selfish.

On to the hard facts.

Gun game wouldn't really work too well in Halo. Because there are not enough different weapons.

As for the dumbasses crying about how power-weapons would completely ruin it. You obviously don't understand the concept of gun-game.

Start out with the most powerful weapons and slowly get pushed towards the weaker weapons as you get more kills.

I.E. You start with rockets, get 2 kills...etc. etc. until you're about to win and being forced to used the worst weapon in the game to get the final kills.

Gun Game works, if you're not an idiot and realize how it SHOULD work.

More than likely you're running the entire concept of Gungame through your heads either randomly or completely backwards.

The better you do, the more the game handicaps you. That's the way it supposed to work. The challenge scales to the player.

So next time..vote yes.
Cause your reasons for voting no...are -blam!- pathetic.

In the current Halo games? No.

If the future Halo games have a larger variety of weapons, then sure.

No. The power weapons would ruin it.

People, stop complaining about the game types. Gun-game started with Counter-Strike, not CoD. The Infection mode that you guys are talking about isn't original to Halo either, Counter-Strike had that too. Even Grifball isn't original, Counter-Strike had that too but with a soccer ball and knives instead of a bomb and hammers. I'm not sure if any game type in Halo is original except for maybe Forge (although people have been modding PC games for years, examples being Garry's Mod and the Columbine shooting) and Theater. However, all that Forge did was allow people to do it without any special programs or knowledge. What's next, are we gonna say that TDM is original to Halo also?

1. Gun game wouldn't really work too well in Halo. Because there are not enough different weapons.

2. Start out with the most powerful weapons and slowly get pushed towards the weaker weapons as you get more kills.

1. Halo has a lot of weapons, not as much as CoD but it gets new weapons added with each new release. Its hard to balance them all out and give them all uses because theres so many. More is not always better.

Weapons wouldn't be an issue. Lets use Reachs weapons for an example (didn't use all of them).

You could use Plasma Pistol, Rifle, Repeater, Sword, Pistol, Grenade Launcher, Needle Rifle, DMR, Sniper, Rockets.

10 weapons, 2 kills each, score goes up to 20 or something.

Start off with weaker weapons and get rewarded with better weapons the better you do.

2. Sorry what? I don't have too much experience with CoD or gun game. Isn't the concept to start off with bad weapons and as you do better you get better guns? You also get set back a gun (or something) when you get killed.

Starting out with Rockets would be a terrible idea, would be a ton better if it were the last weapon.

Everyone would be mad because it's an extremely blatant copy from CoD.
No. No. And furthermore, no.

theatre, stolen
custom game customisation, stolen
zombies/firefight stolen

So really Halo should take from cod
Yeah, all stolen from source games on the computer.

Zombies also came out with Cod Waw which launched back in 2008, 1 year before the announcement of Halo 3 ODST.

That zombies is different. Infection and CS zombies is about not becoming a zombie, CoD zombies is about killing as many as you can in an effort to stay alive. If you're going to bring CoD zombies into this, then you might as well bring every other zombie apocalypse game as well, which CoD didn't do first.

Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

That's still not enough weapons.
(it is, and yet it isn't...hard to explain)

As for the strong to weak....or weak to strong progression.

Of course Call of Duty does it half assed.
Call of Duty is ALL ABOUT stacking the odds against people who are already getting their faces stomped in.

One of these days, a developer is going to realize that hardcore people pick hardcore difficulty for the challenge.
It should be no different with multiplayer.
Yet it is.
A noob jumps into multiplayer and feels like the difficulty is WAY TOO HIGH.
A Vet jumps into multiplayer and feels like the difficulty is too low.

You want gungame to be a game that gives the advantage to people who don't need it.
Thus following the examples of noobs vs vets perception of difficulty for multiplayer.

As an example.

Would it be more intersting to be at 19 kills with rockets in hand vs a bunch of noobs with 1 kill a peice and they have the worst weapon in the game.

OR

would it be more intersting if the tables were turned.
All those noobs with little to no kills have rockets, while you're stuck with the worst weapon.

Part of the reason I never played gungame on CoD is because they couldn't figure that part out. It was for the most part just random guns leaning towards giving out more powerful guns to people who are higher on the leaderboard, thus snowballing the match and ending the game even quicker than it should.

The moment the hardcore crowd quit -blam!-ing about giving noobs advantages to keep up, is the day games will have finally taken a step forward as far as multiplayer goes..

You dumbasses just need to get over -blam!- like bloom.
"OMG I lost to a noob because of lucky spam....boo hoo"

Yeah...right.
It's those type of people that are ruining multiplayer gaming across the entire industry. And they need to SHUT THE F.U.C.K. UP!

If I had to sum up what the Halo Hardcore community comes off as.
They are Michael Jordan, playing against some Random Joe off the street.
The officials decide to give the Random Joe the benefit of a trampoline to try and keep up with Jordan in a dunking contest.
Jordan instead -blam!-es about this and ends up getting the benefit of the trampoline for himself instead.
The Random Joe has to try to keep up without the use of a trampoline.

That is pretty much it. So please, shut the -blam!- up.

Ok hold the -BLAM!- on!

Guys CALL OF DUTY DID NOT MAKE GUN GAME!

Have (some) you guys only been playing games since 2004? Counter Strike had Gun Game WAY before Call of Duty did.

Also yes a Gun Game could be fun with Halo's sandbox.
