Here's a list of some things that I find fun to do.

1. Play a level, any level, and try and keep all of the marines alive, or at least a marine/ODST in particular alive. Give him some power weapons and stuff. It can be fun. Especially if you have Halo 2 with the grunts but it is still fun in Halo 3. I recommend the ark or the Covenant levels.

2. Try getting out of a map or climbing as high as you can. Try getting on top of the covenant level. Very tricky but worth the effort of being on top.

3. Try killing every single enemy. Takes time, but is very enjoyable.

4. Try something like, melees only, or plasma pistols only. Adds a challenge.

5. Try getting in the dumpster, punching it and making it fly across the lake bed in the storm. Google that for a tutorial.

6. Try beating the last level, halo, in a Brute Chopper. There are some parked before the final run.

7. Try getting up and taking SGT Johnsons infinite Laser. Challenging but cool on the level Halo.

^ what he said

Here's some of mine:

-flying Hunters. Start The Covenant, at Mission Start or Rally Point Alpha. Turn on Mythic, Thunderstorm, and Cowbell.

Give Arbiter a fuel rod gun. Kill him until you make the Elites enemies. Use the plasma pistol overcharge if it takes too long. Take his shield down to make him take out a sword and kill him again. Move the sword away from him. Rinse and repeat until you have 5 swords. Give a sword to each Elite. Go inside and get a cp. Save and quit. Go right in, kill the Drones, and watch as the Elites fight the Hunters. If you get a cp, just press the Xbox guide button, sign out, then press B to dismiss the prompt. Then sign back in and resume and you'll be at the cp you saved at.

-half Flood. It's not very fun to do but the result is fathomless.

Here's an example on how to make a half Flood. You have to lure infection forms to the next area so you have to kill off all your allies beforehand. I suggest going in the hog (the scorpion is slow and the gunner may fire at the infection forms) and bringing an Elite with a hammer in the passenger seat so you can make an semi-invincible half Flood Elite.

-Arbiter vs. Brutes in 3rd tower upper level on The Covenant. Simply melee Arbiter onto the elevator and activate it. I recommend giving him the Needler because he can home in on the Brute Stalkers when they shoot at him. You can also give him the fuel rod gun so he makes the Chieftain dive like crazy (turn on Tough Luck for this).

-Finally, 4 Arbiters vs. Brutes on the last bridge on The Covenant. They wreck the Covies so you'd want to turn on Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tough Luck, and Catch. I also recommend IWHBYD because they can say lines at the same time. And I recommend Cowbell so the battle lasts longer.
