Subject: If six didn't die

If they don't suck it at first, just thrust and thrust til they do

Ok so i know ppl will be saying "not another one of these threads" but hear me out!

It kept bugging me but it is logical to assume that six can very much be alive...or not killed by an elite while on the ground.

1) we did not see the blade enter six's body
2) we did not see his body go limp which usually happens when someone dies
3) we dont know what happened to jun or halsey
4) the elite's shields were not fully charged (they were in the process of recharging) when he went for the KB.

****So i can picture this happening about a split second after the screen goes dark :

Jun escorts halsey to castle base where she tries to gather her data and research while simultaneously meeting with some of her spartan II's. Shortly after, the covenant begin to glass mountain menachite under which the castle base is located. The group evac in a pelican. Jun grieves at the loss of his team. Noble team's battle.net lists their vital signs as KIA. Six's is stated as 'unknown' but Jun assumes the worst that he is also dead. Suddenly Jun starts to hear gunfire over his COM, it states the message is from Noble six. Jun believes that it is just a recording from a previous battle until he can see the word LIVE under six's call sign on Jun's HUD. Jun can now hear ragged breathing and occasional grunts of pain. Jun immediately tracks the location of six's armor through the battle.net and gives halsey the coordinates telling her to get their ASAP. AS they speed towards the location of six's armor JUN can hear gun fire in the distance and looks through the scope of his sniper rifle. He sees six surrounded by elites! Jun yells for halsey to go faster until he sees six knocked to the ground where he begins a struggle with an elite ultra. JUN starts to panic when he sees a zealot with sword drawn rushing towards the scene and to make matters worse he can see another elite , spec ops based on armor configuration, starting to head in that direction as well. Jun begins to swear when the zealot attempts to behead six before he is punched in the arm roughly by the subdued spartan, disarming the elite. Jun acts now and pulls his rifle from his back just in time to see the zealot unsheathe his energy blade preparing to strike six. Jun takes a deep breathe as he levels the rifle. Time begins to slow as the elite's arm begins to descend, a blue flare travels across its deep red armour as its shield begins to recharge. Jun exhales and pulls the trigger right as the elite strikes. The zealot's head snaps back as the high-velocity armor-piercing shell exits its skull the blue flare of its recharging shield pops like a bubble as the elite falls to the ground dead. The ultra meets the same fate nearly 1/2 a second later. The spec ops elite immediately activates its camo system only to receive the same judgement by Jun's sniper rifle, its body still camouflaged as it begins to fall. The pelican lands 30 feet from six where jun immediately deploys and sprints towards six's damaged figure. Six is breathing irregularly and Jun's trained rifleman's eye can see a small glowing orange spec on six's armor where the zealots energy blade just came into contact with the armor. His armor is singed and melted in several spots. Six's face is battered and bruised and bloodied, possibly the elite ultra subduing him tried to knock him out to stop the struggling. His eyes were shut tight and his teeth clenched. They evacuated six.

apologies for wall of text guys

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

he got glassed into thousands of pieces, he was dying, a bunch of Zealots were killing him, HE IS DEAD...

This. Six was a pretty remarkable spartan for all he did but let it go, he died.

"I will show you how a true Prussian officer fights!"

"And i will show you where the iron crosses grow..."

Theres no way a pelican could have made it to six when the covenant had aerial superiority...Six's fate was sealed when he was stabbed. Hes dead...

If a writer (or writers in this case) truly loves their character, then they will give them a just ending, if an ending is necessary.

This thread has convinced me that there is a slight possibility that Noble 6 could, but may not be, alive

  • 12.22.2011 1:33 PM PDT

I don't think six is still alive because of how they ended the game but you do make a compelling argument.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Jun is like Noble Six's only way of salvation. I've heard this so many times before... It's possible, but unlikely.

Jun didn't kill the elites. The elite that draws it's sword at the very end holds the sword in his left hand. Who is that? Oh right, the Arbiter.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

No it isn't. Thel Vadam is not the only Elite to use his left hand.

This entire concept is idiotic. Anyone who thinks there is even a remote possibility that 6 is alive, or that Thel was present at his death (or not death if your an idiot) is stupid. Yes, flat out stupid.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

No, guys you are wrong, it's obvious that the real arbiter was on Reach while some random elite took his place to follow the Pillar of Autumn and Jun saved Six and they retired to live in the mountains with Soren and Sasquatch.

Why are you here?

Anyone who couldn't figure out that he got stabbed by the Zealot in the end scene should be slapped.

That plus he followed the Autumn to Installation 04.

I think Noble Six pulled a Kurt, and prior to the Covenant invasion had a bomb rigged to blow at Aszod and as he lay dying, activates the detonator, game over for any Covenant within 100 km blast radius...

Then again the Autumn was in space according to the book while it was planet side in the game...... (even though cannon story wise the Autumn could never have been groundside)
However it wouldn't be the first major screw up.

Don't -blam!- with Kerser!

I think the Elite grabbed him by the neck but did not stab him. They then took him prisoner to interrogate. It is a possibility.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

If Six didn't die...More canon breaks to an already awful story...The horror...

Don't be complaining about people "hating" on you if you keep that attitude.

Covenant very rarely take prisoners, and they especially wouldn't take a Spartan alive. Noble 6 is dead face the facts. He was surrounded by Zealots, Wraiths, Banshees, Spirits, Phantoms, and a small fleet of CCS-Class Cruisers. NOBODY COULD SURVIVE THAT.

If Jun had lived, which he most likely didn't, then he would have to go to the other side of the planet to reach Noble 6. And if Jun did get there he would be vaporized by the Covenant's aircraft.
