What part of CE involves brainstorming? lol
the part when you meet a harmless elite who is the counterpart of einstein, in order to get through a door, you have to solve his equation.

Oh yeah that part.... Lol.

I'd rather play CE then that horrible FAIL attempt known as Reach, which tried to be like CE and failed miserably. Makes me think Bungie thought the friendly AI in CE are bad, when they were much better as they didn't drive, didn't wield rocket launchers, and were much more longer lasting.

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.

If you just played on easy, you find Reach campaign to be a much more enjoyable experience

I agree that normal and upwards are too damn hard, but stick to easy and you'll have fun

That's a problem. You shouldn't have to.

Here's what Reach does to me.

Easy - feeling sick
Normal - stomach ache
Heroic - just right
Legendary - weeping at a funeral

Games are supposed to be mindless fun. Not thinking hard about navigating through a confusing level.

Your arguments have lent me absolutely no inclination to acquiesce to your beliefs of what games are "supposed" to be.

I also suspect that our notions of what things are most conducive to "mindless fun" are not equivalent.

I think we can all agree on that last statement.

But after playing every halo game (CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach) I still love to come back to Halo CE because it doesnt bore me like the others do. I like their storyline as well, but Halo CE just appeals to me more. It's not perfect, but I love it and I know a large group of people who actually played all the games as they came out (which means they actually played Halo CE first then Halo 2 and so on and so forth) are in agreement with me that Halo CE appealed more to them.

Maybe some people want an enjoyable and challenging experience by playing the game on the hardest difficulty so that they can feel accomplished in doing so.
