This thread is targeted at those who played from Halo 3's release, and only from Halo 3's release (late 2007 to early 2008), but since nobody can stop you, you can post your opinion as well.
Have you found Reach to lack the experiences you had in Halo 3? I'm not talking about gameplay necessarily, but community experience, and social interaction. I don't know if it's just me, but I had a lot of fun with Halo 3 in terms of experiences I had. Halo 3's "time" had so many different key phases, some that I can distinctly remember. For example, when boosting in ranked was trending, and there was that massive situation with "external content" being uploaded to file shares, and when everyone wanted recon and thought it was the best thing in the world.
I am currently 17, and I was as young as 13 years of age when I had all these experiences. Does anybody remember any significant experiences they has in Halo 3, and does Halo 3 today bring any sort of nostalgic remembrance to you?
I posted this in the Reach forum because... well... Reach lacks all of this. I don't know if it's the community, or the lack of "exploitable" features and assets (i.e., file shares are much different, party chat is highly encouraged, and the small communities such as manipulative boosters, highly-competitive MLG players, clans, and those who dedicated themselves to specific ranked playlists). I know Reach isn't that good, but wouldn't some of these small aspects be left behind in Reach, because I find absolutely none of them left.
I don't know, reading this thread back to myself, it just feels like it contains fragmented memories and unnecessary jibber-jabber. But I know some of you out there can relate.
Can someone, anyone, relate to my situation with Halo 3 and Halo: Reach? I feel like I can only relate to people who comment on Halo 3 tribute videos on YouTube. feelsbadman.jpg
