If you think forerunners are humans then how do you explain covenent being more advanced than humans , but forerunner tech being more advanced than covenent. And you better not say its because the rings were activated

Fixed the title; fewer flamewars that way. Keep speculating, but play nice.

Cuz the humans are the descendents of Forerunners. The FR wanted them to start new, without all their tech so they would not make all their mistakes. Then, Covies just walking along one day, and find all the FR tech. They start the "cleansing"

Umm, because the rings were activated. Why doesn't that make sense?

You gas up the marker, put on the gloves, strap on the mask, and walk onto the field. It doesn't matter that you failed a test, that you didn't get the girl, or that you got a ticket on the way here... your world is right for the next couple hours, this is your heaven on earth... live it... love it... Paintball for Life

that sounds accurate...

or maybe they did activate the rings, and they all died out, except for a fell babies or something, and life started anew... or something like that... or maybe not even that...

The rings were activated, a few forerunners hid in the ark, and came out to repopulate the Earth. DUH.

(10:20:17 PM) Pezza: You were the one with the video camera breathing heavily. Of course you saw.

Uhh.. I really dont think their the same race, as you said. Maybe the humans and all other life on Earth was put their by the forerunners, i doubte they are actually related..

And yes, faced with annihilation by the flood, any race would kill off the entire universe to save themselves. As I recall, they tell us this in Halo 1. The Forerunners activated the rings.

Forerunners made the flood. They were like, "We gotta live on, but we can't make the flood again. Let's make ourselves stupid, dump our tech, and hope that no one ever, ever gets hold of it." So, they dumped their tech, put some people on earth(because it held an extra key to everything, just in case the flood somehow found food), and said "Bye" and hit the button. Amazingly, it missed some places very far out(Covie worlds) and now there is the current conflict.

Ah, but they could. Earth had everything that they need. They figured, "They'll learn. They will adapt" and sure enough humans did. So, they could throw away all there tech, because the first humans could adapt, and would have no recollection of any Forerunner tech.

Also, forerunners killed the dino's.

There's only a certain radius in which all the rings can hit. I think that the covie's worlds were just, just outside. Not to far from Earth, I'm Guessing.

Sorry for double post.

Earth is a pre-prepared cradle for humanity.

The FR did not "throw away" their tech, it was merely forgotten over millions of years.

AND BTW FR did leave their technology behind in many corners of the milky way (the rings, duh, as well as ruins on a handful of planets) so that the reclaimers (humans) could RECLAIM that technology.... humans = reclaimers, hard fact my friends.

You stooge, the closest animal were combined to are the apes. Not any insect of any type, but yes cochroaches are hard to kill so they could of lived.

Maybe the Black Plague killed everyone that was smart so we had to start all over again. Or, the Ice Age made the Earth start pretty much over again, think about it the like hundreds of millions of years erased from before the Ice Age.

We adapted from then, our body is literally made to adapt eventually, it may take a long time, but we do.
