Alright, there are already lots of theories on this forums, but my outlooks seems differant from everyone elses. Watching the trailor, leads you to believe that this would be late in the game or possible even the end of the game.

Which, still wouldn't put all the pieces together.

The way I see it is, it absolutely has to be before the game even begins..

In the beggining of Halo 1 & Halo 2.. Bungie starts the game by Awakening MC from his CryoTube.

I believe that Bungie has set MC in some sort of dream state in the trailor. Knowing that he is on a forerunner ship - having no idea about what exactly that is or where it is taking him. He knows that Cortana is at risk with the Gravemind. & The Trailor leads you to believe that the world will be destroyed which I believe is MCs biggest fear. Isn't that strange that there is a blackout right when she says that "This is how the world will end?"?

Thoughts?

well one of the devs at E3 said it was 1/3rd of the way through the game but cortanas words could be a flash back i suppose.

This is what I thought it would be as well. This explains the whiteout at the end when Cortana says "This is how the world will end."

Also, the AR? It makes sense to me.

That doesn't change my train of thought at all.. Even 1/3rd of the way through the game would even be a great time to add a dream type sequence to help build up suspense.

Just the effects, flashes, and types of things that they use alone leave me to believe this.
