If you want to see the MC die, play Legendary. If you want to see MC finish the fight, play Halo 3. If you want to see MC finish the fight by dieing, why did you waste six years when you could have done it yourself right now?

There are still so many unanswered questions. My main one is a little bit long.

Why is it that Regret goes to Earth without even knowing there was humans there? Why did he go looking around for a very brief time then suddenly beam away without glassing the entire planet first?

Does this structure spammers call the ARC have something to do with it?

He went to Earth because they believed there was a Forrunner structure on that planet, probably got the co-ordinates from another structure.

You've got to think crazy, of course, because you only get innovation by refining insanity. - Jason Jones

i believe those coordinates were on an artifcat found in the books. For those who have read the books you know what im talking about. The part where chief enters a city and there is only one building the covenant are guarding and transferring information from. I believe the coordinates were on a stone in that city. And also under reach.

He doesn't realize that there are people there. He doesn't know its earth, its a coincidence. And he doesn't glass teh planet A-because teh artifact is on it, he doesn't want to damage forunner material, and B-he didn't bring a military force because he didn't know it was earth, he didn't have the resources to take over earth at that point.

Another question I have is how did he figure out the location of Delta Halo? He must have found what he was looking for at that point. But this structure seems to be far from any city. That would mean Regret found something else inside the city.

He knew the location of Delta Halo because that's where the rest of the Covenant Armada was. High Charity is like the Covie capitol city, so he just went to those coordinates.

The artifact, or the ark may have been buried beneath new mombasa until Regret entered slip space within the atmosphere and detonated the atmosphere.

Uhh, no. High Charity came in right before you were about to kill Regret. That means he figured out where Delta Halo was.

VinceTepes has a point.
One that actually makes sense.

The structure seen on the horizion in the begining of the trailer, might that not be the remains of the bridge linking Old Mombassa with New?

Also, what is a traffic sign doing in the middle of the desert?

Theory: The co-ordinates of forrunner structures are embebbed on other forrunner structures, thats how cortana found the first halo, and thats how the covenant found the earth [while looking for the artifact in the trailer]. The covenant uncovered it by excavation as it says in the Halo 3 announcement. The traffic sign is most likely located where old/new moombasa was, but the area was turned into a barren wasteland by the slipspace jump.
