Quit -blam!- stalking me you weirdo.

I haven't seen any statements, and its kinda big. I am sure I know their stance, I am just wandering if there is any official stance.

Why would they need to have a statement on this? It's not like they plan on running for office.

Why?

They don't neccessarily have to take a stance as a company if they don't feel like publicly uniting for or against SOPA.

What does it have to do with Game Developers?

My Gamertag is Mr Naughty Body.

I may be short, but my heart is tall.

I recently saw a list of gaming developers that had stated that they supported SOPA, and I know for a fact that Bungie was not on that list.

I wouldn't see why Bungie would take a stance anyway. Pirating of Xbox games is nowhere near as large as games in the PC market, so it makes sense that the companies supporting SOPA are either cross-platform or PC developers.

Conflict is something that Bungie would be wise to steer clear of. Besides, every company is made up of multiple people with different takes on one subject or another, it'd be unfair to say all of Bungie thinks this, if it just isn't true.

Either way, I don't know if Bungie made a statement or not. I'm only presuming, based on Bungie's history, that they haven't and will stay out of such business, unless they feel it's for a good reason and or or that all employees have the same take on it.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

I don't believe that they have ever made a political statement other than "get out and vote for what you believe in".

That and some snide comments about Marty being to the right of Mussolini.

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

I feel like this is going to end in a political rabble fest. I personally don't think Bungie as a company cares, I'd like to think that the employees think it's stupid.

Bungie isn't into politics, I don't see them using political figures as their foretold enemies that'll be shot into the sun. It's more likely to contain a symbol from their past, present or future that has caused them hardships, all in good humor of course. Maybe a Bill Gates action figure? :D

Activision and Valve have both made official statements regarding the legislation so it would not be unusual for Bungie to pick a side. Bungie.net could be taken down if a user were to post copyrighted content because this legislation holds Bungie liable. I would love to hear their take on it.

Yes, I know what the bill does. I can't help myself from making a little quip, though.

To be honest, I have zero confidence this will pass anywhere but the house, which is full of crazies anyway. Senate and Executive branch have zero interest in passing it, it seems. I doubt you'll hear anything from Bungie. They never had said anything in the past on where the company as a whole lies. They might do that because they put a focus on the individuality of their employees; can't say for sure though.

This topic is drifting from asking/speculating about Bungie's opinion and into people discussing their own opinions on a political matter.
