Subject: THEORY-The Earth IS A Halo...

Peace through violence
Chuck Norris does not tea-bag...he potato-sacks.

Regret came to Earth to find the most powerful, and secret Halo of them all.
Lets speculate.
The other Halo's have the water, land, ect facing in, the Earth's would be facing out.
Perhaps the anti-Halo?
When the Ark is activated, the Earth will shatter and break up into the Super-Halo...
It could mean the end of just the flood, not all of humanity...or not.
Maybe the Earth-Halo would only destroy the other Halo's.
OR
Maybe I'm wrong.
What's your theory?

The Frozen Minority - The most infamous clan borne from the Seventh Column.

Thats the whole idea behind the fake Halo movie script.

But isn't the Ark's purpose to activate the other rings and (another theory) protect its inhabitants?

For every action, there is an equal and opposite airstrike.

Yes, The Ark, as its name suggests, protects all those inside it, and the shielding effect should spread to the whole of the planet.
It does not fire like the other Fortress Worlds: it is merely a remote detonator.

Here's something to linger over: why was there a circular storm above the Ark?

My Theory, the forerunners burried a ancient thingy in earths crust so long ago, no one noticed or remembers.

The earth is a planet that just so happens to hold the ARK.

When i dled the Halo 3 messge on my 360 the inscrption was that they went to Africa and found the Forerunner. Maybe the Forerunners purpose is to activate the other rings and the arcs is to protect it's inhabitants?
