Dies omnis est donum.

For anyone who enjoys just horsing around in the game, I have a small challenge for you. See how far you can launch yourself off of the falcon Jorge emerges from early in the level Winter Contingency. Consider the windmills to be distance markers. I have a video of a few attempts on my part, with the final two being decent. Also in the video, I show a way to jump on top of the house and buy yourself an extra few seconds to get on top of the falcon before it leaves (which is not always easy to do). You should be able to checkpoint right outside the room where you first encounter it, so you don't have to run far between attempts.

A rendered video showing some examples can be found <HERE> on my file share.

Good luck!

Ooh, I love those people, the ones who decide to throw everything and the kitchen sink at you, as if an M16 does anything to a T-90. Oh, MLG player with noobtube instead? Congrats! You blew off one of my ablative plates!

Gun, meet Bad Guy.
Bad Guy, this is Gun.

So all you do is get on the Falcon or something? I've never been able to watch Rendered videos.

It's already rendered, which means you just have to open the link and it will play (once it loads). I imagine you have trouble with videos that are not rendered. I don't know why you'd have trouble seeing ones that are.

My laptop doesn't have Silverlight which is apparently needed to view rendered videos.

Ah, okay. Basically, all you do is jump on top of the falcon and ride it out as it flys away. Eventually, you'll come to a wall where you can no longer go forward. If you're towards the tail of the falcon, you'll just fall off and die. If you're towards the front, it will crush you and launch your dead body forward. The point is to see how far you can launch yourself. That's all.

Actually you could save yourself a second instead of crouch jumping by sprint jumping directly across from the platform to the far end of the rock you were trying to jump on (well except you tried the closer end, I'm talking about the farther end). Just a diagonal passage through.
Also how do you render vids? Do you need to purchase minutes or something?

Seems easy enough, gives me something other to do than try to box launch onto a spirit on Lone Wolf.

Ah. I gave that a couple tries and kept missing, so I gave up on that. Would save time though if you could stick it.
Yes, you need Bungie pro (i.e., purchase minutes).
