Guys, I don't have proof..sorry. If you decide to believe me or not is entirely up to you.

I just heard on MTV2 that Halo 3 will come out 'early 2007'

Other than that No other info has been told.

I like the Bill Gates quote that, now, puts it at November, 2006.

I think that a suitable release date would be between middle-late 2007 or maybe even early 2008 because by that time it will bury Playstation 3 after its release (hopefully).

It would nice to see halo3 come out a short time after the PS3 launch, but then bungie would not have enough time to perfect H3.

I'd say around the PS3 (maybe 7/7/07)

I say it will go by the old Halo trends and come out in Novermber 07...or 07/07/07 just for the Sevens.

as to the Bill Gates quote...watch the dang trailer, it says 2007 in it!

How about, it'll be nice to see Halo 3 come out... when its finished :)

But 07/07/07 would be pretty neat.

"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can't accept not trying." - M. Jordan

I think when Bungie realized that they needed to change the story and scrap a lot out of Halo 2. That is when they had already had people planning Halo 3 and working on it. Bungie probably used the Xbox live on Halo 2 as a reason why Halo 2 would be delayed.

When the real reason was that they had to just take out a lot of the Halo 2 story line which would have been more of a conclusion to Halo then a cliff hanger that left us wanting more.

I would say Halo 3 has been in the works for a long time and by the looks of this trailer does not need a lot of time to "perfect". The Bungie crew has worked through a lot of bugs and has more experiene in game making with Halo 2 under the studios belt.

Halo 3 should be ready shortly after the holiday season.

AHMEN for that! Your right. I beilive that as well. They have had SO MUCH time to work out bugs. They KNOW what going in the game. They know how it ends. They KNOW what we want. Halo 3 I KNOW wil be the BEST Halo of the series and wil bring so much joy and satisfaction. OMGZORZ! Love you Bungie

i think feb - march 2007 will be good. that gives bungie almost 2 and a half years to work on the game (and by the level of quality they have now, i mean, cmon, thats plenty of time) and it's releatively close. i mean, now its just content, if you read frankies newspost u can see, the engine is mainly completed "the demo features none of our cool AI, new characters, vehicles, levels, weapons, etc" meaning that its all there, obviously, engine is like 90% done, look at the trailer. i'd say a year and a half will be good time for them to finish content.

now that i think about it, although feb-march wud be good, november is more likely, so yes, november 9th next year might be good.

I don't know how long they've been working on halo3, but it must have been a long time if they put 2007 (probably holiday season) as the release date. The time from halo2's announcement to it's release date was about 2.5 years, and 2007 puts about 1.5 years between halo3's announcement and release. I just hope that if they need more time, that they get more time, because I want halo3 to be completely perfected, especially if it really is the last of the series...

Truthfully no one here likely does.I would love too see it early 2007.But look at it from a marketing standpoint as well.I think we will know more at the next gaming confrence. It would be seriously benefitial for them to ship late 2006 so as too slow the juggernaut that sony is.But also look at preorder times too.I think they will want that too be open as long as possible for preorders.Look at how long halo2 preorders were.I preordered mine months and months before shipping.I would guess early too mid 07.But I digress its a love/hate situation. As much as I want it know I think we all know the longer its in there hands the better it will be.But I hate waiting. So in conclusion I think there policy of its done when its done is best.Although I think from a marketing standpoint announcing it now was good especially since sony announced the release date for the ps3 and nintendo announced there system launch as well.Again its a love/hate situation.Want it now but the longer its in production the better it will be.I didnt really want too know so soon though because now the waiting is killing me.

I dont think it will be the last.Look at the Q&A page for halo3.Especially since its the number one game franchise microsoft has too offer and I think we all know bill gates wont let that money pool go untill its dried up.
