You can't put 3 shots into an enemy before trading melees as he sprints at you? You deserved it then. Pay more attention to your surroundings.

If I put 3 shots on someone and end up trading melee with them, they should go down, they took more damage then I did. We should not be set back to square one with both our shields popped within range of a second melee. It slows things down, and is idiotic. It's like the game itself is saying "Hey, you know how you put rounds into that guy? Well guess what, -blam!- that, you no longer have the advantage you gave yourself with your own skill, just so the other guy has the same chance of killing you because he decided to run up and punch you rather then shoot."

Is it easier for you to look left to right than it is for you to look down to up? Complaining about Jetpackers is like complaining about people who attack from the left.

I know you are going to point out map exploits but that's not a problem with Jetpack but rather map design.

I don't see how we can have jetpacks without maps that have multiple floors.
If jetpacks can be used AT ALL if they're used to get to a vintage point then it's kinda killing the map.
Also dodged my other points again.

  • 12.24.2011 3:01 AM PDT

As for "avoiding your points" do you mean evade? Lol. Well if you can't put 3 shots, or however many a full auto zero bloom Needle Rifle takes before a lethal melee can be administered, into an enemy before they reach you WHEN YOU CAN EVADE SIDEWAYS OR BACKWARDS then you are doing it wrong.

If you have any other points you feel I am avoiding please post them.

You just avoided what I had to say about the jetpack.
Okay, so we covered sprint+bleedthrough=Shoot>Punch. Cool.
Now what about the running away factor? Am I bad if I can't headshot someone if they start to run away? Is that why MLG doesn't use it?

  • 12.24.2011 3:09 AM PDT

If someone starts to run away, you should have at least 3 shots in them right? If you don't have 3 shots in them before they run away then you engaged them when they were too close to cover. If you do have 3 shots in them then getting those last two shots in them shouldn't be a problem as they turn 180 degrees around, begin to sprint, then finally sprint away.

Yes because, ALL SITUATIONS IN HALO WORK LIKE THIS:
Someone starts to run away I already have three shots in them and they have cover directly behind them. Not infront, or next to them.
Furthermore, you're just supporting my statement that sprint is a crutch. Used by players to get away and slow down gameplay.

If a map is made specifically for jetpacks then the maps will be beyond terrible. Take a look at uncaged/sword base.

Sprint is only a crutch against players who make poor decisions or can't aim. There is no reason anyone would sprint away from a firefight with less than 3 shots in them. If they do have 3 shots in them then put 1 more in their body and wait for them to show their temple as they go to round the corner. Killshot in the side of their dome.

No sprint in MLG.
MLG players can't aim.
lol.

Who's avoiding arguments now? Just because MLG prefers Halo 2/3 settings doesn't mean Sprint is inherently flawed for competitive gameplay.

I'm not avoiding your arguments at all.
I called you posting what you did before you posted it.
Or did you not read

"Now what about the running away factor? Am I bad if I can't headshot someone if they start to run away? Is that why MLG doesn't use it?"
Sprint is flawed. It slows/dumbs down gameplay.

Just stating an opinion with no supporting evidence is not acceptable in a debate. If your entire cache of evidence consists of "well MLG doesn't use it anymore so it must be bad" then I have severely over estimated my opposition in this debate.

I'm sorry, is MLG not the most competitive version of Halo?
Does sprint not promote running away?
Does sprint not support double melees?

  • 12.24.2011 3:40 AM PDT

Wait, if you are using MLG as your reference you can't also claim double melees as problem. You would have to claim triple melees as a problem. You can't dip into MLG settings when they suit your argument but ignore them when they don't.

*Faceplam

MLG uses double melee now.

Do you mean your face and my palm? If so I agree.

In response to Nina edit: Well if we are talking about Sprint in MLG then we are talking about 75% melee. Stop trying to convolute the argument with irrelevant data.

You lose.
No counter points.
EDIT:In response to you not playing MLG for a month, you're wrong.

I'm glad we could reach the point of you attempting to use my stats as your counter argument. It lets me know I have won the debate. Are you sure you don't want to call me names before I end this?

You haven't won, and go ahead, "end" it.

It is "flawed", its nothing more than a crutch, all AA's are.

What do you do when you're down shots and gonna lose a DMR fight? Sprint away.

What do you do when you pushed too far to the other teams base when you shouldn't have? Sprint back to your side and teammates.

What do you do when you put yourself in a bad position? Sprint away, instead of getting punished for your mistake.

What do you do after missing shots with the sniper? Sprint away instead of dying for failing.

I can go on but those are the most basic.

You are arguing two different MLG settings at once. You claim double pummel is a problem and why MLG eliminated Sprint when in reality whenever Sprint was in MLG it was a 3 hit melee. Explain please.

Well I have no idea what hes saying, nor am I going to read it but...

Double melee was a problem with sprint and no bleed through.

MLG is now no sprint and has bleedthrough, so double melees won't be a problem.

Guys.
Sprint is only in older versions of MLG.
Holy wow.
And I'm not referring to two different version of MLG, I'm referring to the fact that sprint isn't in MLG. And is it the default. Both arguments work because they're both active in playlists right now.

He's trying to say my logic is flawed because it uses two different versions of MLG.
Which it doesn't.
