"In life not all Yale students were smart, but all smart people were Yale students."
With a simple connection, almost, if not all serious Halo players are now considered dumb.
If you disagree with the above quote:
You may have realized how people can take something out of context.

Bungie should consider investing in precipitation gathering nets for these forums. The sheer amount of tears shed by anyone who's been destroyed by armor lock, jet pack, grenades, and the AR could continuously operate hydroelectric dams, irrigate farms, and provide clean drinking water for third world countries.

You sound like just the person to be telling me I'm not allowed to like what you don't like, Orchid.

Goat was famous. Irie was infamous. Gh0st was FaMaS.

My stats in Halol 4

Typical Waypoint post.

Let me guess Ghost, here's the part where you tell me my opinion is invalid because I'm not a tryhard with a precious k/d.

no, I'm saying it's ironic because you refuse to believe that competitive gameplay can be fun.

derp some more, pants don't go on head.

Oh you get me wrong Ghost, I'm not against competitive gameplay, it can be very fun. I'm just against the MLG players who want to define 'fun' for me and tell me my concept is wrong because they don't like bloom.

They're not telling you bloom isn't fun they're telling you it isn't competitive.

Bloom is wrong because no matter how much of it there is at close range it will ALWAYS be random.

you realize that both ogre 2 and pistola wanted bloom to stay in right?

No real MLG players care at all about how you want to play. They only care about playing on fair settings and making their money. Outside that they are not affected at all by how others choose to play

Bloom = randomness
Randomness = No fun
Bloom = No fun

Trust me: And therefore I'm an idiot for liking it, because only competitive gameplay can be 'fun'.

Meagsl: I'm sorry, let me rephrase. Not actual, sponsored and paid players, the MLG wannabes who populate the forums and -blam!- and moan about how the game hasn't been catered to their individual tastes.

Puma: Go away.

Jackson: If you genuinely believe that, go play H3. If you're trolling, I've seen better.

So the random spread on the BR made you like the game more? Sure the game was fun, but that goddamn BR spread combined with poor hit detection annoyed the hell out of me.

To a competitive player, competitive gameplay if fun. Hence bloom is not fun.

Them calling you an idiot is probably due to you defending bloom as being okay for Halo gameplay.

I didn't mind it at all, and honestly I've never had issues with hit detection. I liked bloom, (Which is going to immediately draw the ire of more than one person in this thread.) I felt it made the rifles more balanced because you couldn't hammer away and tap people out across the map without decent time management.

Here is why "they" call you an idiot. Bloom is a horrible way to balance Halo weapons.

As opposed to the pinpoint death ray BRs we had in H2 and H3, right?

If you're afraid of precision weapons, stick to Grifball.

I'm not afraid of precision weapons, I love me some needle rifle and magnum. Telling me to go to Grifball is like telling me you can't come up with a reason to tell me I'm not justified in thinking they had to be nerfed.

Um, yeah. Halo 2 and 3's BRs both are better for Halo gameplay than the DMR and they were by no means overpowered.

You can't introduce that kind of luck factor into a game where 1v1 encounters are hugely skill based.

Like I said, there are better ways to balance a weapon other than bloom, or even spread.
