Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

You must be joking.

I loving coming back to b.net to see this thread. First off, OP, how are any of the problems you have with Reach even remotely related to MLG players or Halo 3 lone wolfes? (lol strong spelling)

Secondly, two of the three problems are fixed in the TU, so this thread is pointless.

Bungie should consider investing in precipitation gathering nets for these forums. The sheer amount of tears shed by anyone who's been destroyed by armor lock, jet pack, grenades, and the AR could continuously operate hydroelectric dams, irrigate farms, and provide clean drinking water for third world countries.

RustedEdge make valid points or let others make them in your stead. You seem incapable of doing it yourself thus far.

I just like to blatantly point out things.

Jackson: I can honestly say that yes, with zero bloom, unless a COLOSSAL F-up occurs, nearly every time first shot wins. The only exceptions are people with thumb disorders or mental defects.

So then accept mine or Sanuel's challenge.

If you'd like I can arrange for it when I'm near an Xbox and a copy of Reach.

EDIT: OMG U GUYS SO FUNNAY silence for 30 seconds assume victory. Dumbasses.

meagsl: Yeah cool put words in my mouth. Makes you look like a confident debater.

I said I've been playing since CE, and that I understand the mechanics of Halo. Lrn2readbro
You should try out my experiment. I've played Halo since CE, but I've played competitive Halo since Halo 3. For some reason, I'm much, much better than you.

Seriously, we should try out our experiment. You can't possibly think whoever sees who first wins.

With good players, whoever sees the other first wins 90% of the time. Out DMRs and out BRs aren't all that common, although they can happen. Halo has always been a game of flanking.

Apparently you need to lrn2read as well Edge.

EDIT: Jackson, even that I'd have been fine with, the reduced fire rate on rifles. But since that didn't happen, and bloom is no longer something you have to willingly deal with, is it that big a problem for people who don't like it that they have to continue to cry about it?

I don't like bloom so I stay away from playlists with 100% bloom. And lol, it's not impossible for people to miss shots. All it takes is an unpredictable strafe.

And team shooting. Lots of team shooting and coordination.

Halo has always been a team game. There's rarely ever any 1v1 battles when you're playing at a high level, but when there is, you can always either run away or you can outplay the other person without firing a bullet. Wait until you have the upperhand, then come back and kill him.

It really isn't all about who has the better strafe/better aim. It's about who can outsmart the other.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

I only read the first page, someone sum this up for me.

The guy posting this probably meant "to a larger degree" or "to the extent the whole gameplay gets wrecked"

But this is probably too hard for you -blam!-s to understand, right?

And why is it so hard to understand? If you spot someone with a no bloom DMR, you're likely to put two shots into that guy before he even can respond.

I say, two shots up is just about what you need.

Not against *everybody*, but say against 90% of upper half population......

Right, because people challenge when they're down one or two shots all the time. Clearly you have never played at a high level. Bloom is bad for gameplay. I don't see how randomness can be fun in any way.

With bloom yes, but without? I don't think so.

Wrong on both accounts. Care to try for a third time?

Then that person who is getting shot calls out to his team, they help him etc etc.

You clearly have no clue how to play this game. If someone gets the first 3 shots off on me, my first instinct is to call out, then try to either (depending on my team and their positions):

1. Get away.
2. Team shoot with them.

This is quite simple.

LOL sure, but in say 50% of scenarios, a good player gets two in on you, you're dead two seconds later. Unless cover. This is the difference between bloom and no-bloom gameplay.

If you can be killed that easily, it was either poor positioning on your part or you simply suck and couldn't get away.

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

Why do bad kids think they understand the game at all?
