They were totally retarded in Halo 2. You could be standing three feet away from someone, hit B, and Master Chief would "magically" fly over to him and beat him down.

I removed the poll to please the mods.

It's not the distance that's the problem, the reach was pretty long in Halo:CE. It's the fact that they barely have to be in your field of vision that makes them a bit funny.

I would like to see all the teleporting gone from melee attacks and magical flight. An option to turn off auto aim would be good too.

A Guide to Networking, Matchmaking, and Host in Halo (HBO mirror)

The reach was non-existant in Halo 2. Aside from the lunge attack, which looks stupid and makes melees feel unsatisfying, the reach was far too short; what looked like it should connect didn't.

And of course, some of the animations were terrible (such as the spartan SMG melee attack). But if the reach and power were increased, and the lunge removed, it'd hopefully become satisfying as before. Much better animations this time would be an added bonus.

And bring back the Double-Melees from Halo 1, and the automatic reload, and the maps from Halo 1, and the fall damage from halo 1... blah... blah... blah.

I've challenged my beliefs. What is the book about?

I find that this is usually untrue. If religious people honestly, diligently and intelligently challenged their beliefs, there would be no religious people.

I think the only thing that need be improved is the sword lunge. Since when can Spartans OR Elites float?

The best part is missing a melee and getting to see the scenery under the map.
