There's all these topics about what people want. Here's one about what people don't want :)

The biggest whining everybody hears is about the stupid pistol in Halo 1. Guys, it was nice and all, but it was a serious imbalence to the game. Yes it owned, and its not fun for people who aren't good at it. If you want to play that kind of style of gaming, go play Counterstrike. This is halo, which should continue to have consistant weapons where a new player can kill a pro player. Don't change the style of gameplay too much.

Don't remove dual weilding and boarding. It'll feel stupid going to the next halo game and the MC all of a sudden "forgets" how to hold two weapons. It was great when it was put it, lets keep it.

One suggestion I hear a lot is to have 64 player games. Thats way too much. I can't even start to imagine the lag (they're likely not getting dedicated servers, because its far too expensive with the popularity of halo), nevermind the 64 player maps that will never get played. When playing for optimatch on live, When playing for big team battle (16 people), I would barely get a game started. The player limit of 16 is fine for system link and xbox live...

Thats pretty much all I have in my head right now. Someone else throw some ideas around :)

Rather than guess and make the game so amazing in my head, I would rather wait for the game to come out and to be amazed by what the game gives me not what I wanted it to be. So I would rather not hype it up and be dissapointed.(not like I will be)

A noob should not be able to easily kill a skilled player! Aiming and skill should be important! That's what HAlo is supposed to be about!

Then why does every weapon in Halo 2 have Aim assisting?

Every person started with the Pistol. If you had a rocket launcher, and I had a pistol, there was a better chance of me killing you than the chance of me killing you when you had a rock launcher and I had an SMG. It did give new players a bonus.

Don't get rid of more than a couple of weapons, and add plenty of new ones. Keep the player count at 32 or lower, don't get rid of boarding, boosting (the ghost, etc), and other things like that.

Because it was necessary. Now that games like PDZ have demonstrated that you can have only a tiny amount of autoaim, and still have a great number of players in a game, hopefully, Bungie will remove most of it.

I put the Laughter in Slaughter

Animals: fun to pet, better to chew

I totally agree. That pistol was fun at first, but it rendered pretty much every other weapon useless which made multiplayer in Halo 1 stale. They should bring it back (for consistancy - like the AR but nerf it)

Divide multiplayer into two sections.

Hardcore - multiplayer WITHOUT aim-assist
Casual (something along those lines) - multiplayer WITH aim-assist (everybody is happy)

Finally for multiplayer - bots for offline play. The AI is great in campaign, i dont see how they cannot transfer it to multiplayer

In terms of Story. Hopefully some standard AI rampancy (that bungie is known for) makes it into the story. Although hopefully its not cortana as MC needs some company

Maybe there should be a choice to play either MC campaign and Arbieter campaign and as an easter egg Sergeant Johnson's campaign
