Jesus has been in this since the start. Heck, all things religious have been. Now it's down to picking who Bungie is going to make their "Jesus": the Arbiter, or the Chief.

Bloody jesus

I'm very offended by that.
You should go read the sticky (Sticky:Welcome to the Halo 3 forum!) for this forum.

You people are all just saying that because you hate the Arbiter! What use does the MC have anyway? Earth is glassed, a handful of humans will life to see a peacefull galaxy and the last thing they would want is a warsick Spartan-II looking for a fight!

Hello,
I think that the arbiter would drive his ship or whatever into the ark and we would only see him at the end of the game, or the ark which is the ship that saved everyone when god cleansed the earth of evil, would provide refuge for the MC and the aliens when it is activated, and why would Mc want to activate it? because as you can see in the end of the 2nd halo cortana might have revealed the location of earth to gravemind and hence the flood on earth and the activation of the arc to cleanse the earth of 'evil'.
^ all that is just speculation.
thanks,

If you want to see the MC die, play Legendary. If you want to see MC finish the fight, play Halo 3. If you want to see MC finish the fight by dieing, why did you waste six years when you could have done it yourself right now?

The Arbitor was destined from the very beginning to die according to the prophets, but when he saw the suit, it almost seemed like a glimmer of hope, somehow symbolic. I don't think he's going to die. I think it may come down to either the Chief or the Arbitor and the Chief might stop the Arbitor from killing himself because it's probably going to happen on Earth so it really is MC honor, not the Arbitors. The Arbitor has a future ahead of him. He or Half Jaw will lead the new Covenant and teach the truth to his people. What's Master Chief going to do?

This is ANBU Cyrus in another form.

The Halo series is a TRILOGY. If you don't know prefixes, that means three. There is no Halo 4, so get that out of your head.

Yes, and The Matrix is all about Jesus because the characters have names from the bible, nevermind the fact that the entire philisophical basis for the movie comes from buddism. -blam!- man, take off the god goggles already. Have you not noticed that the Covenant are the evil alien invaders commiting mass genocide in the name of misguided religous beliefs? I'll give you a hint: It's called the Crusades, and it's only happend nine freaking times throughout the course of history so it shouldn't take too long to google.

Remember how bungie has denied Halo 3 this whole time (up unitll yesterday)? what makes you think they won't do it again with a possible sequel to H3?

If Bungie does decide to end it that way then they go against what they have set-up the enitre time. Master Chief will no doubt have a huge part in Halo 3, but the Arbitor will have an equally great part.

Even though it's on Earth, it's the Covenant who started this battle, therefore it is the Arbitor's honor that will drive him to end it.

Yes, percisely, the Crusades. What are you exactly getting at? I never said that Bungie was depicting the Christian Religion in a good light. I have no God goggles, the religious symbolism is THERE. If you ignore it, that's just stupid. And if you are trying to disprove the religious allusions in the game, you didn't do well referring to the Crusades.

Alright, I've figured out the ending, and here it is.

For all of you who think that Master Chief is going to die at the end, it wouldn't make sense, it wouldn't fit in the theme of the Halo games. Throughout the games there has been countless Religious symbolism and allusions, obvious ones are the Covenant, the Flood, and even the games title, Halo. So, with all that in mind, here's the ending.

Remember the Arbiter. Arbiter means judgement, or judge. At the beginning of Halo 2 we saw the Arbiter hung up in a cross like fashion, much like the crucifiction, making an allusion to Jesus. His name is the Arbiter, so, has anyone heard of Pantacrater Jesus?

Moving on, the only logical endind is to have the Arbiter become a Martyr and die for his people, making another allusion to Jesus and the Arbiter will make the ultimate Judgement of his people. Believe me, Bungie has planned this out from the beginning, there is no flying by the ear endings here, it's methodical.

I think, at the most, Master Chief will go MIA and the human race will never see him again, because he is no longer needed.

Any thoughts?

He dies bungie said it from there own mouths watch the halo2 se dvd

Hehe, I'm willing to bet they just said that to have us thinking otherwise and catch us unawares, Bungie is prone to doing that.

i think that the trailer at E3 06 was an alternate ending that happins if you dont defeat the covenant. But if you win none of the foreunner stuff was found by the covenant and you win the war. hints finish the battle...

Or the ending could be what they showed us in the trailer. After all, Cortana says "This is the way the world ends" and then we see the ancient artifact (possibly the ark) fire what looks like the beacon that fired on Delta Halo that communicates with the other Halos and causes them to fire. So, maybe in the end, everyone dies....except Cortana, and that is why in the Cortana letters she says "I HAVE WON."

You've got to think crazy, of course, because you only get innovation by refining insanity. - Jason Jones

Actually i dont know if its true or not, probably not true but would make a little bit of sense. I was thinking that maybe cheif spent the entire game on earth and ends up diying and the arbiter is back trying to save cortona to take her and show the prophets what was really going to happen. Do you guys remember when cortona was first placed in the rings computer system she got a sudden burst of information and said something like "No, no they couldn't have known, go! GO NOW!" Or something like that, maybe the arbiter saves cortona and she lives long enough to tell the prophets what will happen.

I kind of like what someone else said somewhere else. They said that the trailer was a dream of what could happen. One of the reasons he said that is because normally in movies, and video games, and other media's they use a white out at the beginning and end of the dream just like the trailer.
