Subject: Some form of the Librarian still lives or affects the Halo Universe

....spongy, bungie, who cares? I got mine!

It was the terminal "The Library" in which this happened. In the same terminal 343 expresses knowledge of things he shouldn't. Like "we should have installed 2 caretakers per installation" instead of 1.

He also says he was part of many of her plans, long before he knew she even existed, maybe because he is but part of her. Before any of them were. The other monitors, perhaps?

"But in the end, we had only a fragment of her brilliance left to us". Maybe he's saying this because she made 12 monitors and instilled part of her memory to each of them, and since 5 of the halos (assuming their monitors also) were either destroyed or lost, that would leave only a fragment of her brilliance left.

343 references 12 rings instead of 7 in the terminal on "Two Betrayals"

And about the whole "343 talking to the librarian", did Cortana not ever have a conversation with Dr. Halsey during the novel "The Fall of Reach"?

[EDIT]
Also in "The Maw"s terminal, he says something like "fearing our sacrifices... My sacrifice was in vain" Correcting himself. How was it HIS sacrifice? He's still there. Possibly it's "My" meaning the librarian. The Halo Array was her idea, correct? He also says "Hm, I sound like... Her."

It would also fall under the "careful planning" that the librarian split her knowledge up into 12 separate parts. Incase the flood were to capture one of the monitors, we all remember 2401 right?

I hate it when people skip over details when trying to support an idea.

The first bit was talking about how the Eons alone on the ring are taking it's toll and he wishes he could have company.

Cortana knows she is a clone of Halsey's brain and if 343 was any part of the librarian he would know this also. You know how the librarian had set it up for a random forerunner to be taken to didact's Cryptum? She did something similar to 343 hence that statement.

You guys are really dragging this out. We don't know the kill count on the Halo's so it is pointless talking about it. So? yes, cortana talked to halsey.

IT is his sacrifice because it was mentioned in another terminal how he offered to be an installation monitor.

T1

"I am experiencing such a mixture of anticipation and dread. All preparations are complete for my installation. In accordance with the final dictum of the Ecumene Council, I have released myself of all remaining connections to my former station."

That alone disproves this entire theory.

T6

"...but oddly enough, it was the Librarian who decided otherwise. And I believe she was correct. I know, in a way I cannot logically explain, that there exists a way to actually defeat the Flood."

Again disproves this idea.

T7

"This is not what I had in mind when I volunteered. Not what I had in mind at all."

"I am naïve to think I understood what this Installation meant. We were all so naïve."[quote]

And Again

[quote]

T8

"I sometimes wonder whether the Didact could have succeeded at a much smaller cost. I learned the folly of opposing him personally, and his brilliance was unsurpassed - except perhaps by her own."

And again.

The terminals Disprove this theory in the current way it is stated. Which is why i was trying to be nice in telling you to drop it. When you create a theory, be sure to find out the flaws in that theory and either find a plausible way to amend them or just scrap it if you can't. But don't push a theory without addressing any of it's faults.

Maybe I'm naive, but I fail to see how ANY of what you posted disproves this.

Cortana knew because she was the entirety of Dr. Halsey. Imagine if you "cloned" parts of your memory to a computer, a sentient computer. Would these parts KNOW they were part of you? Of course not, and that's just common sense. These "memories" or "knowledges" whatever you want to call them would see themselves as separate because they don't have the same memories as each other.

And you're underlined and bolded part, do lovers not argue?

@grey-you keep lumping us in together. I have already stated that i do not believe that the monitors on any halo are an AI based off the Librarian. While one of the possibilities i discussed in my theory is similar to his, it is in no way the exact same. There's too much evidence proving the monitors can't be the Librarian.

Ok, glad you made your point clear.
