Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.
-blam!- all of you fanboys!
I mean really, does noone else see the problem in having to come to a forum to -blam!- at the developer to update the playlists?
Why the hell are they in charge of the playlists?
Why are we not seeing that there is a problem in thinking that a handful of playlists is going to satisfy everyone?
Why do you not see the problem in waiting weeks/months/years for the developer to update the playlist...only for that update to satisfy a few and alienate even more in the process?
Why does a playlists have to be removed to make room for a new one?
Why?
When the perfect solution to multiplayer was made years before Halo came along.
And that solution allowed people to set filters and then gave them a list of rooms to choose from..
And somehow this one-armed-bandit....was deemed as a better solution than that?
Make the -blam!- game, but let us decide how we choose to play it.
------------------------
Why are only a handful of people in charge of deciding what map/gametype/settings the entire community is stuck with?
Why do people choose matchmaking over Customs?
When you can answer those, you will have your answer.
You need a decent sized friends list of people who actually play the damn game, in order to bypass matchmaking and go straight to customs.
If you don't have that list of friends, you are stuck with matchmaking. Unless you enjoy playing a custom game BY YOURSELF!
Have you seen what's it's like to make friends with people in this game? If you don't sit on a K/D of 2.0..everyone looks the other way. So unless you're an elitest tryhard who already has a full party you play with all day every day, YOU WILL NEVER PLAY CUSTOM GAMES!
Imagine a new person who just started playing today. Just joined X-Box Live...how does this person go about finding a custom game to join? How long does it take for them to put a list of people together to support custom gaming?
