I guess so, but what if he looks like the Darth Vador (Sorry i don't know how to spell star war's characters) that wouldn't be cool.

Nah, Bungie will probably never show of the Chief's face. It keeps a certain aspect of 'universiality' to the game (i.e no one can complain if the Chief is white, black, tan, etc etc)

Lol, I wouldnt mind finally seeing his face...but at the same time, I think that it would ruin a part of this great game for anyone....mystery is sometimes better than knowing...kinda get what im sayin?

Those without swords can still die upon them.

A long time ago they said they don't want to reveal his face because his armored visage has become a symbol of his total dedication to the military and fighting for Earth. Also, they want people to make him their "own personal hero" or something like that.

no, do not show his face!!! why? because i like the fact that you can think that he loox like whatever the person wants to. It is kinda like how books make you use your imagination to think about what is going on or even WHAT A PERSON LOOKS LIKE!!! it is a bad idea to show his face.

Agreed. I think it'll ruin it.
It will fail to meet or exceed anyones expectations. Due to his status and all, when people see him they will think he looks inferiour than he is portrayed in the game, and there will be some moaning about him. "What's up with his nose?" "He doesn't look like a warrior" etc.

I think it's a lot better with his helmet on. In the novels we are told partially his appearance, but unless Bungie really, really, really feel that they can pull it off (Although it would still cause an uproar with some fans.), I think they should leave the helmet on.

I personally don't want to see him without the helmet.

No, I don't want to see his face. If bungie decides to screw up and ruin Halo, then I will close my eyes and pretend it never happened.

Have faith in bungie, make sure they don't ruin this game (not that they will, but.....)

Well I want to see who exactly he is but that could screw up the halo movie....
Also it could ruin the whole thing like you are Master Chief and all. They'd also have to create the extreamely pasty white skin for that...

Don't you guys get it? The point of not showing the face is most likely so that you can relate to the character. Some people like to really get into the game, and if you see his face it REALLY detaches you from MC.
Or at least that is why I think they should not and won't show his face.

dont show his faceb ecause he'll probably look like the alien from alien vs predator and that would just ruin it.

John is white, with brown hair. He had freckles when he was a child.

Your balls are showing...bumblebee tuna

It's like Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget or the nanny from Muppet Babies....NEVER show the face and keep the imagination going. That's what made Wilson's character on Home Improvement so cool.

Flame Sama's Portal. Home of the anti-emo teenage writer/gamer Flame Sama, stop by and read some time.

By the way, my gamertag is really 'Flame Sama'.

This account is inactive-it's a relic of a former time for Bungie.net, back when groups were riding high prior to the release Halo 3.

Prehaps a short glimpse of his face ?

Master Chief is an icon, a legend... something that is super human. Showing his face would ruin the icon and just have everyone realize that he is just a human.

Sounds dumb to me...
