Since Halo 3 should be better than Halo 2, we should start discussing the things that went wrong in Halo/Halo 2 that must be corrected/included in Halo 3, so they might be added/fixed by the time of the release.
Here are some of the things i want to see fixed in Halo 3:
1 - Cooperative Campaign over Xbox Live
2 - The Fuel Rod Cannon, if it has been fixed.
3 - Actual Optimatch: being able to search for games on certain maps, or certain gametypes (best seen in Counter Strike); In addition to this, a menu that separates as such:

-Playlists would be shown here.
----Playlists lead to an additional menu (maybe a popup or something), which asks if you want to go ranked or unranked. With this feature, all the playlists could be played in with guests, so no training playlists would be necessary. Also, players have the option to play the playlist as ranked or unranked. Unranked would not have a rank or hidden rank, making it easier to match people quickly.
Cooperative Campaign - this would be Coop, but online
Custom Games - self explanatory
Content Downloads - self explanatory; if a map making feature is included, this section would be for Content Downloads or Uploads. A nice map making feature would be one in which the maps could be made on the computer (much easier to make better ones on a comp), and could then be transferred to the 360.
4 - Limited sword lunges online (15 lunges sounds nice), with the option for unlimited in gametypes OR an overcharge that lasts around five seconds, allowing a player who dodges the sword to kill the opponent before he/she can lunge again.
5 - The Plasma Pistol's autoaim must be fixed, i.e. it can turn 90 degrees right now (go to collosus with your back facing the lift, have someone shoot at you with the overcharge, and right before it hits you, back into the lift.)
6 - Battle Rifle's auto aim must be turned down.
7 - Give the pistol it's scope (2x max; Br is 5x;Snipers are 5x then 10x) back, or at least a silencer.
8 - Secondary guns on the Scorpion Tank/Wraith; I believe you can use them in Campaign.
9 - A human equivalent to the ghost: i saw a video of the one they were going to put into h2 (which didnt get put in); ill post the link when i find it.
10 - better melee lunges, as some go for the lunge (brutes especially) and stop right before you hit the person.
Some new things I want to see:
1 - A wider array of weapons, evenly distributed between alien and human (all the human weapons should have a covenant counterpart and vice-versa *cough* shotgun *cough*) in which a covenant gametype would replace the human weapons on the map with the covenant counterparts (Since when did the Needler equal the Shotgun?!?!)
2 - Another grenade, weaker to the two current ones, but with a larger blast radius.
3 - All teleporters are two way, but the second way must be activated through a button
4 - "Harder-to-reach" weapons, such as the sword on zanzibar. Functions such as the dropping bridge, and opening the gate should be included in larger levels
5 - Incorporation of ALL of the old Halo AND Halo 2 maps into H3
Please post your ideas and concerns about the shift from Halo 2 to Halo 3. Please do not flame other people's ideas, and have consideration for their views, as they might think of something stupid that makes someone else cultivate that idea into something much better.
