I have this idea:

Covenants attacked on Afrika. They was looking for something. The Ark. Maybe Forerunners have build the Ark in Afrika. Video shows some structure but lets think that that is Ark. We all know that the life had started in Afrika. Maybe some Forerunner gen had stayed on Earth and in evolution we are the result of that evolution.Forerunners are extinct. No one knows how they looked.
Maybe we are Forerunners.

What do you say?

I do believe that we are related directly to them.

We are the reclaimers.

Descended from our own mistakes.

The Forruners are like trying to take over the universe.

They burried Ark in Afrika and the life started in Afrika too. Coincidence? I dont think so.

  • 05.10.2006 2:14 PM PDT

I hate dial up

If the ark is worth killing an entire race, dont you think the forrunners would mayby take at least a little effort to protect it, like say that giant thing at the end could be a map to another area with a map to another area with a map to the ark

just a thought, but i have a problem with the forrunners/human theory

if you remember in halo 1, the forrunners apparantly activated the rings wiping out ALL life in the universe, including themselves, so if they did that, we couldn't be decendants from them, it could be something random that happened in our evolution

but you never know, i may be wrong

just something to think about

Did not wipe out on celled organisms, or sentient life. Sperm and embryo would have survived.

Since they burried that thing there their gens (or something like that) stayed there. Making us.

Well, i think it might be that the Forerunners were actually common ancestor of all the diffrent life in the universe.

Good theory, ghost91.

yeah, the rings wipe out all sentient life, htey said it on halo 1, and if the sperm and embryo lived (which is impossiable since if you die, everything inside you dies) how will the sperm get into the embryo, and if by someway that happens, how will the newborn survive?

This theory has been around for ages, now all these people are popping up saying "I think that..." It's been discussed a lot. Basically the same ideas make up the theory, that the Forerunner built the ARK at a place where the halo rings could not touch and controlled them from there. Then in some massive flood outbreak they acctivated the Halos and left themselves stranded basically as the last of their species. plus an embryo needs a whom to survive at all, and on top of that who is gonna take care of the first and ONLY human baby?

the forerunners built the ark and put organisms from different places from the universe in it, which then populated earth, the safe haven for living things. thats why there were no planets like earth other than the covenant homeworld ( which probobly wasent always bare, dark and desolate like it is today)

Actually, by the end of halo 2, I came up with a nice little twist bungie could of thought up, Us being the forerunners...and look now how it might be true.

Lol every wonder why it is called the ark? It is the only place safe when the halo's explode. And I thougth we were the forerunner since the end of 343 guilty spark and halo 1.

Life actually really "started" in Mesopotamia (i think i spelled that right) which is the modern day geographical area of Iraq.

But interesting theory.....we'll have to wait and see

"You must face the truth squarely and without flinching from duty. Our enemies are mortal no longer. Mercy for such as they is a chimera, self-deception is its only ally. Dedicate this weapon, given unto your hand at the behest of the Emperor, to their destruction. Regard its function as your only duty: you live only to bring cleansing fire."

i beleive the foreunners seeded earth with the remnants of their seed, so they could eventually prosper once more.
