Truth & Reconciliation on Legendary.

I got there yesterday, I tried four times and gave up. I have a plasma rifle and a sniper rifle. The sniper is at full ammunition, but I plan on saving that for later. The plasma rifle is at about 85% battery power. If i need a plasma pistol, I can easily get one. And by the way, is it necessary to save the Marines?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Well... yeah!
It's hard. Those damn gold Elites are always hurting both me and my Marines. And the Jackals... don't even get me started on the Jackals.

there are some older threads i think you could find where i posted this advice but whatever. with every new door opening throw a plasma nade behing the jackals and then mop up the rest. tuck your sniper rifle in a safe corner and dont use it now, you'll need it later. swap it out for a needler or p pistol, since there wont be another plasma rifle for a while dont be to dependent on it. just keep using nades and be aggresive, if you quickly mop up the jackals and grunts then there is a lesser chance of there being a gold elite. also if a marine dies this is one spot were the AR is ok.... except against the gold elites. so just nade and clear, itll take time but youll make it after some tries

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

Use your sniper ammo now, you can always pick up more later. A gold Elite usually takes three to four shots to bring down, so get in close, and pull fire to make sure you don't miss. Use the plasma rifle to kill the Grunts and Jackals, and toss plasmas at every door. If it's possible, get behind the Elite and smack him, or toss a grenade on him before you have to use the sniper rifle.

Use Plasma Pistol and Snipr Rifle. Charge up the PP against the Elites, then shoot them in the head with the SR (you can get more ammo for it later on), and use the PP against Jackals and Grunts, but just use the regular shots. And no, the ODST's can die!

You should switch the plasma rifle for the pistol, and use that to take down the shields of the elites, the go for the headshot with the sniper, unless youre not good with the headshotting bit. Then dont go for the headshot, but either shoot him with the sniper then melee him or use a plasma nade. use the frags for grunts and jackals, making sure you get it in just as the door open, and use your motion tracker to judge how far from the door they are, if they are accompanied by an elite they'll be farther since the retard wishes to die and rushes ahead. If you wish use the nades on the elites as they come out to provide about a second more time to shoot. O and the marines, use them as a distraction or fire support. I can't count the number of times they've saved me from a close to death sword-wielding gold with no shield. Too bad they don't work anywhere else. Their little grenade throwing habit still applies, so run when you hear nade, its gonna hit you otherwise.

One final thing: try more than four times, anything will work eventually

Ive beat that level 10 Foled its easy first when you start throw a grenade at the door then continue to the area where you meet the marines kill the ghost then kill the turret get launcer and marines in wart hog kill tank w/ warthog turret and or launcher the get secret banshee tat the second wraith tank using a R Launcher at the pad on the cliff wall in the left passage on the cliff high up then coninue on and level skip to the next bridge thats above that battle after you meet the 3rd set of marines then walk the rest of the way trust me if your wanting to beat that level in record time thats the best way it only taks 4 minutes in easy 8 min in normal 15 in heroic and 25 tops in legendary for me

Another one of these posts...

Well, anyways, you need a plasma pistol, and a human pistol or an AR. What you do is, use overcharge on the gold elites, then finish them off with the human pistol or the AR. when a door opens, get into the habit of throwing a grenade into it to kill some covies. Let the marines (if you have any) to mop up the rest. Focus mainly on the gold elites and the jackals...those f**king asswipe jackals...
