Why is it that you Pistol guys only realte skill to aiming? Aiming isn't the only skill involved. Strategy, movement, decision making, map knowlege, teamwork, speed, vehicle manipulation, the vehicle "jack", melee attack... There are many more skills involved than just aiming.

Nope. Dual wielding made the game cheap and too easy.

Have you played and beaten it on Legendary?

dual wieldings for noobs is it, and using a Br with the aim assist isnt dual wieldng makes the game alot less boring and makes more sense in a war

so your saying that running around with two sub machine guns makes more sense in a war? are you mentally retarded? I don't know about you, but i don't think i've ever heard of soldiers taking over an area by storming a room with a gun in each hand.

Do you want the ability to duel wield like in Halo 2? I know I don't. I want weapons were there isn't a superior weapon. In H1, EVERY weapon was equal to the others, it just depended on which one you were better with. For example, the sniper didn't dominate every match. Even a plasma rifle could take down a sniper easily with its stun effect. In H2 there are "Power Weapons" and "Bad weapons" and that makes it so the team or player that gets to a particular weapon first, will gain a huge lead. I hope it goes back to H1 style weaponry.

actually that's not true, the weapons were really very balanced in H2. In H1 the sniper dominated HUGE.

It is intresting that you claim the sniper domminated in halo 1 when most people claim the pistol did. Very intresting considering the sniper was not changed from game one to two.

Well... I highly doubt that Bungie wouldn't add dual wielding to Halo 3. Previously, Masterchief could easily hold two SMGs, needlers, magnums, plasma rifles, and plasma pistols, no problem. But then, what, in Halo 3 he can't anymore? Wouldn't make much sense...

Duel Wielding is a NO. I say this because no skill goes into running toward another player and holding two triggers. Even if it is fun, there are players such as myself who want a game that takes skill AKA Halo 1. Also people who dont like the pistol are just idiots anyways because they cant deal with balance they need to get the big guns and watch people run at them with SMG's to be able to win. Bungie should of atleast but quicker respawns on guns since some levels they dont respawn until it is dropped, that way we wouldnt have people thinking their good because they destroy defenseless players.

Finally somebody understands that. Really leading people into traps or just knowing how and when to react in regards to the map are the biggest skills you can have in halo. If you master those, you master the game

I can't vote in any polls for some reason, so if someone is allowed to double vote, please vote no for myself.

I feel that dual weilding lead to a rock paper scissors sort of gameplay where the unique characteristics of each weapon were watered down in order to fit them into the dual weilding scheme.

I feel that more weapons, properly balanced would be more enjoyable, rather than having duals laying around, half of which are useless unless dual weilded.

YES. I want it to return, however I want more weapons used for just single weild much like the Assualt Rifle. I dont think it should be dual wieldable as it would be too powerful.

Also, I want the damn sniper scope light attatchment back in the game. I miss the nightvision.

Exactly. You don't have to duel wield. Its an aesthetic choice. Although sometimes it is necessary.

I personally DID NOT like dual wielding. Simply for the fact that it was unbalanced. Say in a game where you spawn with a single SMG, and people are dual wielding, and you spawn near them. Unless your grenade is a direct hit, you more than likely will lose. Not saying all the time, but i really felt that dual wielding unbalanced the game, along with a homing plasma pistol shot, and lunging melee attacks. Even if the two players are both dual wielding, it comes down to who has a better comination of weapons.

Which reminds me. Bungie, improve the needler to make it at least usable or remove it completely. As of now, it is really only good for a paper weight. Some of you may argue that it is good against a idle sniper. I don't know about you but I wouldn't use up one of my weapon slots for a weapon that is only good for that purpose.

Yeah the Sniper changed from game to game...instead of having to aim in front of the player's head with skill, now you can instantly get a head shot no matter what the distance is. Oh and I hope you dont hit the wrong spot on his face, the shot might not register.

Vote No. It didn't work well in Halo 2, dual-wielding takes no skill, and it's unbalanced.

I aggree, pressing Y is way too easy. Mabye up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, A, and B would give me the appropriate amount of time to toss a grenade at those noobified dual-wielders. Sometimes it takes me awhile to find the grenade button...

What?! Of course it comes down to who has the best combo. You know how you avoid the dreaded "bad" respawn? Don't die! Balance has NOTHING to do with Halo. If you want balance then everyone should have the exact same gun. We don't wan't boring balance.

what im sayin is in war its better to get as much fire power as possible rather than just having one weapon, also there very good for close quarters so in halo terms wouldnt be bad for stormin buildings

Your comment supports me. . .

The person i quoted claimed the sniper rifle dominated halo: ce.

By claiming that it was harder to get a kill in ce then in halo 2 you are assisting me.

And that is a change in the "hit boxes" not the gun.

Denying balance kills the longevity of a game. How long can you particapate in fights that you will no you will lose from the start.

There is absolutly no balance involved in a fight with a modder, would you enjoy that game as well if the modder had a ton of modded new weapons in it?

I think the only way some you guys will be happy is if there is only BR's and no other weapons. Everyone just headshotting each other and yelling into your custom Halo3 headsets about how Elite you are.

Duel Weilding stays.

Way to steriotype.

No one has said one thing about being Elite. Just because normal people dont like dual weilding you have to find some way to justify it.

In my opinion i try to stay away from duels as much as possible as they are bad at mid to long range and limit the use of nades, plus i find them kind of annoying. But i think it adds more to the game and i don't have to duelwield but can if i want to. So i say yeah
