Ooooh! Grand Theft Halo! I like it!

I do wonder though if Halo 3 is going to incorporate any "Sandbox" type component to it for online play. As in a massive pervasive map played on a dedicated server with thousands of players across the globe...it'd be pretty darn cool and probably an entirely different pace of gameplay. It'd be neat as an ADDITION to the game, not a substitute for the current LIVE status quo.

If the 360 can generate it, yes, but only in the appropriate spots.

Yeah, maybe a mission where you need to save them, or watch them get ‘eaten’ by plasma from behind a locked glass door. It will add the feel of “it’s the end”; take no prisoners, wholesale slaughter of the human race… At least until the Chief gets there.

In my opinion, that would be pretty cool to see thousands of civilians fleeing as hell became earth. But if will halt the game completely (no, not by overloading it, is that possible on the Xbox 360?) but by... I don't know. Pretty much, if they encounter some troubles, take them out. It won't really hurt the game.

i vote kinda both no and yes because remember, halo2, city was totally dead meat destoryed to the ground... so... i am sure there could rare civilians in halo3 bceause like hiding in 5ft thich steel house or whatever so... i will say there like 50 or more civilians alive *halo2* there is like a millions alive but halo3, really rare...

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Yes, but only if they are helpful and actully in the gameplay.

and like the civilians would like thank you and give you any ammunition they found and stuff if you saved them.

From what I read, nearly everyone on earth is dead so....yeah.

This is a tough question but the answer is this. It should be no because the covenant did what they do best- blow everything up. There should have been civilians in the last game on levels like Metropolis

Oh dear God no! I hate saving other people. The only thing I'll do to help them is hand them an M90.

that would just suck.
suck suck suck suck suck.....don't flame me.

It's constructive critisism............diseeze style......

the only problem is i think that some people would go around killing civilians instead of covenant. that might be too much of a distraction.

  • 05.10.2006 3:12 PM PDT

and also, i just thought of this, that would be more realistic if they had civilians, cause then it would seem more like earth and stuff.

I just think it adds more realism... more immersion... and more options. It's the player's choice to do whatever they want with the civilians, but it really gives the idea of being on earth, instead of a bunch of polygons.

  • 05.11.2006 5:03 PM PDT

yeah, and i just thought of something, what about them being turned into marines when you give them a weapon!
