- Modding (if at all possible to prevent, I'm no expert)
- "Cover Systems". I hate when games add that trash. I like free roaming first person views where movements on the analog translate directly to movement on the screen. No some bull where you walk up to a barrier, hit the A button, and then all of a sudden you are in third person and "stuck" to the wall. It really makes a game less immersive. In Halo, you truly feel like you are in the environment in every sense.
- Unnecessary and cumbersome "features". Like the cover system, there is alot of flash and trash added to games these days that take away from the raw organic feel of a game. Ghost Recon killed me when they added all those cross com features. The original Ghost Recon was such heart pounder because it was entirely a tactical game with no linearity to the levels. GRAW is much more linear with alot more garbage going on the screen. I hope Halo doesn't go that route. Halo 2 was frickin great because they kept it simple. All of the "features" that Bungie added were VERY intuitive and seamless. Like Vehicle jacking and Duel Wielding. They were so seamless that is almost impossible to play Halo 1 now without trying to pick up a DW or jack a ghost. Those features I don't mind one bit.
- The Sniper Pistol. Yes, the pistol should be more powerful, but it shouldn't be able to compete with a BR or a Sniper Rifle from 200 yards away. That is just silly. The pistol should just be viable weapon for close range and indoors.
- The Arbiter. It was fun, but honestly I feel no need to "connect" with the other side. I prefer my (imaginary) battles to be Good Vs. Evil and Black and White. Covenant = Bad, Humans = Good. Right? AT BEST, maybe they could have a seperate Covenant campaign or mini-campaign for kicks. Not all part of the same campaign where you have to do both to beat the game.
Just my opinion, nobody said it was Gospel.
