Honestly, he should have died at the end of Halo 3 so we could have avoided this 343i and Halo 4 shenanigans.
*puts on flame suit*
It's a common western writing technique, actually: coming full-circle.
You first meet the Master Chief when he exits the cryo tube. You say good-bye when he goes back in.
Whilst I respect your views, I cannot abide by your dislike of 343, especially since we know so few details about the Reclaimer Trilogy.

It's ridiculously cliche if the hero dies at the end.
Why should anyone kill MC?
Remember how the whole world acted when Rowling wanted to kill Harry Potter?!
...though hero's never die, they are only missed in action...
Sigh... You can't have actually read the OP at all otherwise you wouldn't have posted something as stupid and ridiculous as that. Also, for the umpteenth time, THE VAST MAJORITY OF CONTEMPORARY AND CLASSICAL MEDIA ENDS WITH THE PROTAGONIST SURVIVING AND HAVING A HAPPILY EVER AFTER as a result how can the death of the protagonist be cliche.
And enough with the sodding "missing in action" bullshyte, IT IS NOT LITERAL.
Ajw34307, you're assuming the majority of this fanbase reads anything other than the Halo novels. It's apparent they don't.
Indeed. I often give this community more credit than it's worth...
