I think it's because they didn't wanna here complaints or anything from people trying to rush them into making the game.

That and because once we know for sure, we want to start seeing some proof. Like vids pictues info on weapons, gameplay, etc. Its not just rushing it's knowing about the game so that we know how great it will be.

I think H3 should come out in '07 so that they can pour as much quality as possible into the game.

They worked on the first one for 5 years.

Bungie does this all the time with thier games. Nothing different with Halo 3.

I agree Bungie should take as much time as they need, they are in no real rush. I wanna see new weapons, more maps, and a longer campaign myself.

Yea, but they also wen't through many changes with the first Halo game, going from RTS to FPS, going from Mac to PS2 then Xbox. Not to mention the FPS version was changed so many times.

But that is a good point.

If you would all please take the time to read this post. Look at the Halo 2 Announcement, Trailer, Almost the Same thing, Just this time you know it's the covenant activating the Arc(in this case Earth). Now we listen to Bungie in the Halo 2 bonus Disc, and they talked about how they did not have enough time to finish the game, and it was not becoming a great game. Well I have the therory that Bungie did not announce this because, the fact of all the peoples Ideas, and Fan-Mail, would make Bungie hey, lets get itout there NOW! Ok so fine announce it at E3. Good plan, and the fact that E3 is where we all waited for so, Halo 3 might have just been at E3 because Bungie didnt have anything to show there!

I don't want Bungie to rush, because I want a perfect game. I wonder how long they have been in the development for?

actually, its probably because yesterday was press day at E3. so yeah, actually i would put alot of money on why they waited until then to release any info. i mean that is kind of the point of E3, but sure, go ahead. make your own assumptions.
