Subject: Is The Arc Really the garden of Eden

Damn, I haven't changed this in like 4 years...

Remember, the Halos are a way of purging the Universe.

We're talking destruction on a much larger scale.

Maybe the ark is a safehouse. In the Noah story, creatures of all kinds were brought onto the boat.

Maybe the Humans and the Covenant will enter the safehouse, as the 6 Halos all explode. The result will be new life for all, and the Humans and Covenant will live piecefully.

I know to much about the start of life... i'm not going to go over it

I don't think Bungie is creating a religious game. Adam and Eve are christian idea's...
We can rule out this possibility along with all religous ideas about the game

Very good thought though, always nice to dream

no there not abraham father of all religions, other than god, was a decendent of adam and eve in the OLD TESTIMATE, or whatever it is for jewish people, so it is that all 3 religions were created by conflicts between his two sons, one started jewdism witch led to christianity, the other started islam, read the old testement, its all there.

There are two ideas on the origins of humanity. If you take the Bible's word for it, the Garden of Eden is supposedly in Iraq's neighborhood. If you believe in evolution, then humans originated from Africa. Either way, they're pretty close. Personally, I believe both. Although God is perfectly capable of doing so, I don't think that He just snapped his fingers and we had a planet with Adam and Eve and trees and such. Rather, I believe that God created the Big Bang, which, in turn, led to the creation of man.

Long ago when the earth was volcanic... lava spued from the earth... horrible lightning created energy... certain minerals were "fused" by this energy and created basic amino acids, which later create protiens... those amino acids created way back when are the start of ALL life (plant life came first).... This is the truth... sorry for any of you religious people... but thats how it happened....

I'd like to steer this topic back on course. Perhaps I posted my idea under a thread with the wrong title. I do not think that the artifact in the announcement trailer is the Garden of Eden, I think it is the Ark (mentioned by 343-GS in Halo 2). Perhaps the Ark in Halo 3 is meant to rescue humanity from the activation of the six (remaining) halos. Once again, that's another connection to the Bible.

With all these connections to the Noah's Ark tale, can we be able to predict the outcome of Halo 3 by following the events of the Biblical story? Noah escapes the flood in the Ark and lands on a mountain and repopulates the Earth. This could mean that in Halo 3, a human (John, maybe) escapes the end of the world by the Ark we see in the trailer.

i dont think thats gonna fit on a mountain, but it sounds like bungie has used all of what were talkin about, and is it possible that from the ark evolution of man started, like the ark and the garden of Eden are the same in halo:

the garden of eden - wasnt there a garden like that in high charity

the Arc - obviously saves humanity and other creatures like noahs ark

the flood - killed all who didnt heed noahs warning

Gravemind - snake in garden of eden, tricked adam and eve, like the way he tricked the chief and cortana

I never noticed the similarity between the Biblical snake and Gravemind. In the Bible, Adam and Eve were banished from the garden; what does this mean for John and Cortana?

These people need to understand that this is based on a GALACTIC scale!! not a World scale. for us, it began in IraQ or middle east, yes, but to the rest of the halo galaxy, its EARTH!! GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEADS!!! PARALLEL UNIVERSES AND MEANINGS!!

anyway, it seems like a good theory since bungie is so into already instated religios works to base games on....
