The title is pretty self explanitory, though I do have one request, PLEASE, I say again, PLEASE give a well constructed answer. I'm pretty new to these forums, and have heard alota bad abotu em, but I have a bit of faith, so here I am none the less.
Ok, on subject!
I, personaly, love the Arbiter. He was something so new, so interesting that I couldn't help but he interested in him when I first heard of him. I admit, I was a little skeptical at first, but by the time I finished the game, I knew who my new favorite Halo character was. The Arbiter, unlike the Chief is an interesting archetype, the Chief is a soldier, he follows his orders with little emotion unless it involves the other Spartans. But the Arbiter, he feels more developed, he has personal motives, things to be gained or lost. He has his distaste of the Brutes, the love of the other Elites, he has his fears, his honor. All these things work together to make him, somehow more believable, more HUMAN that the MC himself. Why? Because we can see the Arbiter's pains, we know he hurts, we know he feels. We saw him lose his honor, his name. We've seen him betrayed, we've seen his fear, his sorrow. We can almost feel like we've met him because though Bungie, we have experianced this characters life ourselves. This, is why I can not bear to say goodbye to the Arbiter, this is why I want to see him, and play as him again in Halo3. Because at the end of the day, unlike the Master Chief who is a supersoldier, and above his fellow human is almost every respect, the Arbiter is merely another elite, alabit, one with fancy armor.
Well, there's my thoughts. Let's see yours!
