I'm not up on my biblical mythology, is babylon a city, just a location for the last battle between heaven and hell, or is it the name of the battle that takes place anywhere? But I think babylon is porbably considerably north of central Africa, probably in arabia or North Africa. But, hey , it could be anywhere. Assuming it is a where.
Babylon is the name of the site (in the town of Ur, in Sumaria) where the Babylonians decided to build a tower to heaven. This angered God, so he struck down the tower and caused them to all speak different languages. (Before that time there was only one language in the world) Since every one was confused, they only stuck together with the people that they could speak to. Eventually all the new groups of people went their separate ways and formed tribes, clans, nations, etc.,
It's in the Bible. Look for yourself if you don't believe me.
I thought that was the tower of Babel? In babel? Hence "babble"
