Halo 2 had a really good idea with the medal system. In Halo 1, you could not tell what you did in a game after it was over. However, in Halo 2, you could. This was a genious system, but it had flaws.
First of all, you could not tell how many medals of each kind you got unless you came here, to bungie.net. Second, many of the medals seemed worthless. Should hijacking a vehicle really show on the pregame lobby? And last, there were not enough medals. Many things like headshots and no scopes went unoticed in the pregame lobby.
There are way too many possibilities (again, I say POSSIBILITIES) for medals. Some do not need to be shown, but others should be seen. Here are some of the possibilities I see for medals in Halo 3.
-Headshot (Sniper/Beam Rifle)
-No Scope (Sniper/Beam Rifle)
-Insane No Scope (Sniper/Beam Rifle) <-----No scope from 15+ yards awayl
-Slasher (Sword) <------- This would distiguish sword kills from beatdownsl
-Insane Stick (Plasma Grenade) <-----Stick from 15+ yards away.
-Divine <----- Finish game with no deaths, at least 10 kills.
-Pink Death <----- Because we all know how hard it is to kill with a needler.
-Kill Stealer <----- So that the people who keep mooching kills get noticed.
Also, feel free to add any that you think would be good. I would like to, once again, note that these are just ideas, not all of which are 100% thought out or tested. Its, just that, if I stick someone from sniper to battle rifle base on lockout, I would like everyone to see it after the game.
