Well Bungie was good about it and had playlists for them then 343i took over and screwed every one who bought them. Bungie was not good about it. You had a playlist that nobody played for DLC and no chance to play DLC in normal playlists.
That is the main issue that HAS to get addressed or I for one will never buy a single piece of DLC from bungie or 343i again.
At least Bungie had a playlist and yes people played it (under 1k at a time) but now 343i took it away and now we have longer search times and have to get lucky for them to come up.
The real problem is the community not buying the DLC so we can have them come up more in normal playlists. Its a negative feedback mechanism. People do not buy the maps because there friends that have them tell them that they don't get to use them - or - because previous map packs that they have are useless. What needs to be done is a way to make it so that people that have the DLC find one another and then get the DLC maps. It is too late for this on Reach - whatever they do to fix this problem has to be done on the next game for both companies. More likely hood for DLC gameplay = more DLC sold = even more likelihood of playing in DLC. That's how it worked in Halo 3, I don't understand why things got so stupid on Reach.
