it just occured to me that... there should be near to no covenant left in the halo story. if this is true, does this exclude the idea of an awsome apocalyptic battle to truley show for halo 3's glory, or are we just gonna get a prettier looking halo 2?

The Flood of course will be enemies, but having just those overgrown zombies as the only enemy in the game would get old and boring. Maybe larger newer Sentinels? And while the Hunters, Grunts, and Elites now side with the humans, the Brutes, Jakals, and Drones are still allied to the Prophets.

I doubt if this will make it in, because it doesn't really fit with the sotry line. But maybe, rebels or space pirates like in the books will be enemies.

hey guy, how is alll the convie fleet gonna be whiped out when you seen how many ships in that trailer? the only way they can make it on earth that close is because we have NO fleet to stop all of them.

Unless of course the convie fleet thats on earth are the elites..arbitors elites and grunts and such.

doubt it though

personally I feel like this is kind of a hole in the Halo video game story. The covenant fleet shouldve put a serious dent in its own ranks due to the eliet rebelion. Apparently though, despite all of earths forces being in the battle and the brand-spankin new defense platforms, the covies still have enough firepower to competely enslave earth. I just dont get it i guess.

I THINK that maybe the Covenant might have just gone straight past all the human defenses. After all, in order to activate the Halos and therefore their Great Journey, they need to activate The Ark. Which I'm pretty sure is the reason the Covenant went to Earth in the first place.

well hold on, what if the time crystals from the book take part in the whole new army of covenant in the trailer. i mean, im pretty sure the entire covenant armada was whiped out due to the flood being on high charity.

Yeah. There's no way the Covenant have overrun the Earth like Bungie says in their PRESS STATEMENT.

Oh yeah! I'd completely forgotten about those crystals! It's been a while since I read the books. Think I might go back and read em now. Maybe Truth used the crystals to gather an army of Covenant before the Elites left the Covenant? But saying that's only just making even more theories...

Also, I agree. Any of the Covenant left on High Charity are toast. If I may make this brought up, do you think it's possible that maybe Cortana ain't so friendly? After all, at the end of H2, she agreed to answer any of Graveminds questions and I'm pretty sure he was going to ask where Earth is.

if they use anything from the books then we still have the home worlds to compete with so there is definatly more covenant and hopefully a newer and harder enemy... maybe even graveyard or some leftover forerunners... well talk back

it is a very plausible thought, especially since you can hear gravminds voice behind her's in the trailer.
