I've had a good time on these forums, but really I haven't really been active on the forums anymore, and I don't really need this account. So, how do I delete it?

2/15/12: Francisco Porras, I'll miss you. Rest in Peace.

You don't, well actually you wait a full year.

  • 12.28.2011 6:09 PM PDT

You don't.

You stay with us until we say you can go.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

There's currently no way to delete your account.

Though...you don't need to delete it. If you rarely sign in anymore, then you've already solved your issue. Just don't sign in.

I think you have to contact acornos.

You don't. In the olden days you'd have to wait a couple years and then the account would be auto-deleted. But Achronos turned that off, so the account is always going to be here.

  • 12.28.2011 6:13 PM PDT

Who the hell do you think I am?

You don't really need to have your account deleted just because you never go on it anymore...

And no, you can't delete it.

the only problem i have with mine is that it's unstable,[very shakey],so you'd need a tripod for it.

Just drink a beer and everything will be ok

You can't delete it because Bungie "appropriates" all the personal information on your account to aid with it's world domination plans.

They are building an army of zombie-computers for some unknown purpose.

It is rather interesting that there is no way for a user to shut down their account like so many other sites. I understand that hacks can happen, but why not just have the confirmation be sent to another email? The email can't be changed unless that email is sent a confirmation asking to be changed.

There's only so much security you can have, of course.

Don't log in to the account for a year and it will get deleted.

That's no longer the case. Accounts are no longer deleted.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

I just click the "delete" button.

Hmm. That just brings up more questions. It seemed more logical to keep the account deletion feature on.

Why? Going back and reading old threads is incredibly tedious with deleted accounts.

Agreed. I think the account should delete, but the name of that member should stay, so we can at least have some kind of personality (or recall someone from yesteryear).

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

This is true, never thought of that.

On December 1st, 2012, I met Neil deGrasse Tyson. I shook the man's hand, and even made him laugh. Not much else to do with my life now.

He'll be back.
