You have to wait for a whole year to pass.
Not anymore.

The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.

The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

As you waste your breath complaining about life, Someone out there is breathing their last. Appreciate what you have.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

I can't see any reason for anyone wanting to delete their account. It's not like it's got personal/credit card information on it.
I had to put my card details in when i joined. It told me to put my pin at the end of my username too.

It is rather interesting that there is no way for a user to shut down their account like so many other sites. I understand that hacks can happen, but why not just have the confirmation be sent to another email? The email can't be changed unless that email is sent a confirmation asking to be changed.

There's only so much security you can have, of course.

You're here for life. I thought they would've beat that into you with wet noodles?

It appears someone is up for retraining program.

You have to wait for a full year and not post anything.

That's actually not true. I had a friend who did that one and decided to come back. Finding his account still useable, accept his title was "Absent Member". Although, I'm not sure if auto-delete is back or not.

You can't, the only way of doing that would be by asking a Administrator to do it.

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

I know right? Anyone know why? Does it cost more money/resources?

Sometimes I look up into the sky and wonder why I have no bananas.

I'll tell you how:
1. click My Profile
2. scroll down until bottom of page
3. The invisible click "Delete Account" (YOu have to look REALLY hard for it.)
4. ???
5. Have no account

Spread the love...

Unfortunately you cant. It's part of Bungie's plan for World Domination; they need to keep their fans.

There's currently no way to delete your account.

Though...you don't need to delete it. If you rarely sign in anymore, then you've already solved your issue. Just don't sign in.

That sounds about right. There really is no need to delete accounts, just don't use it if you're done with it.

Although, don't accounts auto delete if they are inactive long enough? I see [deleted account] posted all the time when I look at old threads, even some that I posted in back in the days.

I see what you did there meowmeow.

OT: There is no way to delete your account. There was one feature that would actually auto-delete your account after one full year of inactivity (unless you are permanently banned, that preserves the account) but Achronos turned it off. There is no say if he will ever turn it back on. The reason why this website doesn't give you the ability to delete your own account is because I believe it would be a security issue, just like having the ability to change your Bungie.net username would be a security issue.

So your only option would be to just abandon your account.

Agreed. I think the account should delete, but the name of that member should stay, so we can at least have some kind of personality (or recall someone from yesteryear).

Hmm. That just brings up more questions. It seemed more logical to keep the account deletion feature on.
Why? Going back and reading old threads is incredibly tedious with deleted accounts.

Is that even possible?

If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

You don't need to. Why would you want to remove such an awesome account? >.>
