yeah, I think they should, It would be weird to have it in halo 2 and not in halo 3. I personnally liked the sword. Keep it.

Do you feel what I feel, see what I see, hear what I hear?
There is a line you must draw between your dream world and reality

The sword to me seems to be something like a novelty weapon. Ya couldnt use it in Halo so they wanted to put it in Halo 2 so you could get your hands on it. But the novelty is passed, so i think its somewhat unnecessary, plus it isnt balanced with the other guns

Keep it, but make the enemies more competent with them. They could actually hit you in Halo 1.

Well personally I don't like the sword but I think Bungie kinda messed it up when they put it in Halo 2 so I think they should keep it.

I'm one of those storm chasers that will never have a TV show because I don't scream at clouds.

It definately needs to return, after all, even if you could only use it in Halo 2, it was in both prequels. I agree though, it should keep the battery charge even in multiplayer.

of course it needs to stay. who knows? wouldnt it be sweet if you could throw it and it sliced into your enemy? then, while the baddie is staring at this beaming rod sticking out of them, waiting to die, you can be shooting up the surrounding bad guys. wouldnt that be tight?

Should be kept, it kicked ass. What about sword on sword combat. Lightsaber action >:)

After reading your post, you are right. I remember when the gold elite pulled out th plasma sword, and I killed him and I spent hours trying to find a way to get it. It was a novelty, but that novelty has passed.

To balance it, one hit kill (if you hit the main body) if you happen to slash an arm or a leg, the person looses their shield. The sword also has a charge, and can burn itself away by one point every minute, in addition to loosing maybe 10 points for every contact. That would stop people from running with it all the time with it out and cheating by holding it the whole match and killing more than ten people in one life. Maybe even make it possible to turn it off to save energy by clicking the X button instead of a reload.
