There's always room for you, If you want to be my friend.

For Big Team playlists they're fine.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

Some of the (arguably) best Halo maps were asymmetrical.

Then again, the very same maps I'm referring to I never played at a high competition level.

THATS MY COOL MAN I CAN'T TAKE IT OFF!

Because when done right, they're better than symmetrical maps.

I'm guessing the OP is a lolSanctuary fan.

Lockout and Guardian were good. Blackout made top BR too powerful of a position because you couldn't trick jump to the top of from as many angles.

There's also Prisoner which just a slight asym symmetrical map.

Because even when done right, they're no where near symmetrical maps in terms of being good.

I am a lolSwordbase fan.

Smaller asymmetrical maps are certainly harder to design and balance, hence why most of the good asymmetrical maps are for BTB.

The trick is to give both teams openings to all the power weapons on the map from their starting spawns and set it up in such a way that throughout the game the better team can have an advantage but not so much that they game is decided in the first minute and not so little that map control is pointless.

Sword Base, in competitive games, decides the winner in the 60 seconds.

Powerhouse on the other hand makes it very hard to lock down the map because of all the nooks and crannies players can hid in.
