Make sure you have a crisp clear audio configuration first. Listen on the trailer as Cortana says "i am your shield..." Now, I have listened and it seems 2 beings, Cortana AND Gravemind are talking at once. The Gravemind voice says 'Source' while Cortana's voice cuts in at the very end of the sentence while saying 'Sword'. Remember at the teaser at the end of halo 2? Theory: Gravemind may have manipulated her system a bit, while Cortana's conscience is still there, almost like split personalities. just a thought...

The only word uttered is "source". I have discerned this using superior technology.

a crappy audio set could still reveal that 2 voices were speaking almost as one, no matter how good the audio. whats importanmt is the whisper people may not catch.

THIS is what she says.
I have defied gods, and demons.
I am your shield, I am your sword.
I know you, your past, your future.
This is the way the world ends.

THANK YOU. Finally someone else heard it. I've been trying to get this out since, well, here. You can hear gravemind's voice very low through the ENTIRE first two lines of cortana's dialogue, and after that, her last two lines are spoken normally (not rampant(ish) or anything). Thing is, I don't think she's rampant at all, I think the dialogue that people think is rampant is just gravemind speaking through cortana, because her last two lines are spoken clearly and normally without a hint of rampancy. I have a bit of a different idea of what's going on though.
I think that gravemind speaks to the chief through cortana in the first two lines. First (gods, demons) describing his history, as he likes to do, and second (shield, sword) saying that he will fight with the chief [to prevent the halos' activation]. Then cortana speaks freely, saying she knows chief's past (because she was given knowledge of chief's military upbringing, and has been with him for so long) and future (go figure on that one). Then she says the "end of the world" thing.

Marty said cortana said sword...Not source. Go to HBO.org and see for yourself.
