Nice list, gave me a good read waiting for that 10 minute ban to disappear.

Which is another thing that's wrong with Reach btw.

Thanks captain obvious! You did a good job of explaining the things that everybody noticed a year ago!

Seriously this is just sad. I hate to break it to you but case you haven't noticed, NOTHING is going to be changed/fixed by ranting on bungie.net.

Playing with friends online is fun, and searching in a full party and beating up on people who think they're good but aren't is also fun. Most of my online friends are Reach friends, anyway.

Oh man, what a huge badass. Good at video games and better then some other guy who only wants to play to win. #pfftlolyourpathetic.

Just because all of your friends are playing it doesn't mean you have to play too. If you have fun playing the game, then play it. If you hate the game but play it anyway, then don't play it you idiot! Nobody is forcing you to play anything. If your friends don't wanna play another game with you, then go find friends that will. But if you are playing a game that has problems which affects your game experience, either deal with it or go play another game.

If this was true, the BR would have no skill gap. The DMR is more luck based due to the inconsistencies of bloom anyway.

If you're playing locally in a 1v1, you're probably right. If you want to argue about the guns themselves without taking into account the other differences between the games then you're again probably correct. But if you want to argue about how random each gun realistically is when used under typical matchmaking conditions, you'll need to take it into account that the Battle Rifle gives a sizable advantage to those with a strong connection, and the DMR gives a substantially smaller advantage.

My upload speed is 0.3Mb and I got a 50 in Team Slayer. It can't be that bad or else I wouldn't have managed that. In all situations, DMR is more random than BR.

THATS MY COOL MAN I CAN'T TAKE IT OFF!

Reflection isn't a bad map, it just needs a rebalance. In its current state it's pretty miserable, but 'Reflection in general' is fine.

The space areas of Anchor 9 and Condemned are big issues though.

What's your ping time, what's your packet loss rate, how is your connection affected when transmitting and receiving data from different locations, blah blah blah. You can't gauge the performance of your connection by acknowledging bandwidth alone, there are many other factors which play important roles.

Besides, that doesn't disprove the randomness of the BR. I've encountered plenty of generals with legit 50s in Team Slayer or others who I've subsequently destroyed, and I'm not even a very good player.

I can't believe you kids are still on bungie's forums crying about reach. In case you all did not know Bungie is no longer in charge of Halo. Crying on here will do you no good.

That doesn't solve the inherent problems.

I am well aware that Bungie doesn't own Halo any more but 343i forums are retarded.

That may be true, but ranting on here is about as pointless as banging your head against a wall.

Btw: What really ticked me off about reach was the custom maps in matchmaking. I get sick of playing on the goofy maps this community made.

wut.

I thought we'd all agreed that we had enough stuff to dress our barbies with.

Founder of Team Reclaimer where we specialize in Big Team Battle and Invasion games. We are all about Communication, Dedication and Fun.

idk for some reason when u compare my Halo career, it went through a huge skill jump. Whether that is do to Reach's easiness or finally having people to play with is another question.

Halo 2: 0.86
Halo 3: Ranked: 1.05/Social: 1.20
Reach: 2.86

I dont get it.

I sucked at Halo 3, but I'm decent at Reach. However, I do think that it is just gaming experience. When I went back to Halo 3 for a few games, I was much better, I'd imagine you'd find the same.

343 forums are like Candyland compared to bnet. Everyone has to play nice and sing kumbyyah or community police who try to get shiny little metals next to their name send you tersely worded PMs about following the code of conduct.

Why play 5,000 games in Reach if you have that many problems with it?

Breaking barriers.

I agree with everything except for the 6-shot AR melee.

Almost all of those aren't "problems" more so personal opinions of problems, some of them are true but most are just something someone doesn't like.
This. The title of this thread is more accurately "List of things I don't like in Reach".

In fact what I find interesting is that the list is composed of things that counter each other are listed.

grenades and armor lock, for example. Armorlock exists so players can avoid things that potentially kill you, like grenades.

Another would be "movement speed". If you want to move faster, use sprint. That is what it is there for. The same goes for jump height and jetpack.

AR starts and DMR starts are a problem?

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

I agree, but a lot of the top half of your list repeats itself in different words.
