Subject: Help a noob to get better?

Herp derp.

I've been playing on 10 for months now. I do intentd to decrease it now though, hopefully it'll help some.

ok good. That will probably help your aim be much more steady.

With good aim, all that is left is map movement, knowledge of both enemy and weapon spawns, and learning what to do in situations.

There is only so much you can do alone though, try searching with a group of people around your skill level, it will actually make you much better both individually and it will teach you to use team-work to win games.

Problem: I have 0 friends that play Reach, thus I have no one to search with. They all play Skyrim, BF3, or MW3. :(

I play on 3, and its fine for me. I dont see how you can possibly play on 10 lol. I could never shoot anything moving. I would suggest to drop it to 5 at least.

Get used to playing in a full party. Searching alone won't help you improve.

When I originally set it to 10, it was difficult. Once I adjusted to the speed though it became a bit more useful.

make some friends then! Find some on these forums, or in game! Don't be shy, be nice and you will quickly gain some numbers. remove the ones that are bad or simply don't play reach enough and replace them. over time you will have plenty of people to play with :)

The who wishes, fervently wishes

Armor Lock.
Tips
1. When you see a guy go into armor lock, either A, stand back, or B, armor lock right by him, when he pops out you'll pop his shields.
2. If a grenade lands at your feet, go into armor lock, but don't hold it, use it only until it splode's, conserve it. Otherwise they'll pin you down with nades outa the wazoo.
3. Troll people to melee you, get nice and close, but don't punch, wait for them to do so, then armor lock and pop out to EMP them for an easy kill.
4. When one is about to die, spam grenades everywhere. Chances are you'll take one with you.

Jetpack
1. Don't jet pack directly at a person, they'll just shoot you down and get extra points. Only do so when you've got teamates by you.
2. Flank em' with the jet pack, and try nading them. Also, don't hold it down, use it in bursts as to make it harder for them to shoot you.

Don't use cammo, it sucks and is only useful in the hands of a pro player. If you do, use it as a jammer.

Yeah I'm gonna clean out my friend list. I typically don't like whoever ends up in my matches though (usually people who cuss or yell alot).

dont like my driving? stay off the sidewalk

for f#cks sake go in with friends. randoms and full party teams will destroy your experience.

chances are I don't care who you are or what you say.

Impossible when friends that play Reach don't exist.

true, but if your on the receiving end of that clusterfu<k then the game can get really frustrating really fast.

I've been lucky enough to never have to go up against a full party.

only if it is a good full party. There is a reason why I only search with full parties in reach (except for MLG)

Are full parties really that bad to go up against?

We are all individually good players, and have good team work and knowledge of the game

We get good stats each game and still have fun in game :)

but seriously, join the group "Forum Tryhards" if you haven't already, most of the best players on the forums are there and we can all help you :)

Yeah, I did join it.
I'm an invasion fanboy, thus what I know is mostly limited to said gametypes. Though I do try other playlists every once in a while.
