which is beter halo3 odst or halo reach!

A poll would have nice.

Reach is better.

Reach has multiplayer, ODST doesn't.

Reach is worth playing more than once compared to ODST.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

ODST's story and Firefight are infinitely better than Reach's, however Reach has Forge, MM and Custom Games, it's hardly a fair comparison.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

ODST, by far.

I won't even get into Reach's abysmal campaign and casual-catered multiplayer with sucky maps.

Like ajw said, ODST campaign and FF are infinitely better than Reach's. I really couldn't care less if Reach has Forge and Customs. ODST is still the better game.

I always win. Amen.

Halo > Halo 3 > Halo Reach > Halo ODST > Halo 2

At least in terms of campaign. I felt that ODST had a lot of potential but the fact that it handled like a downgraded Spartan ripping through a Covenant brigade took the fun away. Should have been the ODSTs fighting in a group, then you get split up, and focus on evasion, rather then direct flying. Could have been a great spinoff but ultimately failed. Really takes it away from the story when you read the books and see Chief having trouble taking down one Elite and then playing as a regular human and plowing through 20 Brutes.

CE was the best hands down. I felt that 3 tired very hard too but wasn't as good. Reach was honestly okay but suffered from abysmal level design. 2, the showcase from EA which was completed in 6 months was honestly the worst. Gimmicky dual wield, uncompleted levels, uncompleted story, etc..

As a fan who cares more about the Campaign experience than anything else, I will say ODST is better by a long way. Great memories with the game's take on FF, too. It came with the full Halo 3 MP package, which I'm not going to dismiss because the title was an extension of that game; rather than a complete stand-alone entry.

Per Audacia Ad Astra!

Between ODST and Reach, this is so subjective, but ODST has my favor. With it's own tone and atmosphere (City, music...) you feel alone in this giant capital of New Mombasa, moreover i can see some effort put on the narration (the fact of playing your partner) you have this real impression of living these events during apocalypse. Comparing to the "Halo : Reach mess" lack of epicness and weak storytelling (yeah 95% of the time go switch a button) i can remember easily about Romeo, Dare or Buck (even if they weren't the the best characters in the videogame industry) than Jun, Kat and Carter.

I hope for their next game, Bungie will take their time with some good writers to create intersting characters with strong psychology in with you can really feel attached and have empathy.

Well, technically 3 out of 4 people enjoy gang -blam!-.

Halo 3 is a great game. Everything about it seemed to meld together quite well, Reach was a much more intense, but fairly cliche storyline, my favorite of them all would have to be ODST, it was different, and was, what felt like a new approach really appealed to me, the firefights are infinitely better than any other of the franchise.

ODST.

Considering that ODST wasn't originally going to be a full retail game at first, I'm going to say ODST (for what it was). I have no doubt that if they put even more time and effort into it making it then it would have been so much better but maybe it being relatively short and sweet is what gave it its edge.

Reach was a great game in my honest opinion and I did enjoy the story, but I found the characters didn't come across as being very 'human'. The situation didn't seem dire enough until towards the end of the game and even when you did realise how badly humanity was losing, there were no normal humans around to express their concern. The most that any Spartan said was Kat when she asked if they were losing but even that got interrupted by Colonel Holland with more orders.

They are both really good games but they're good for different reasons. If it's a contest based on content then Reach has to win by default because it was treated as a full retail game from concept to finish. Not so much story but character wise, then ODST gets my vote because everyone behaved like they knew each other for a long time.

Reach. At least it has replayability, but ODST's firefight and campaign are superior imo.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

I like Reach better, both because of the Campaign (It doesn't have the peaceful vibe of ODST but it has way more replayability than ODST's) and the Multiplayer, but Firefight goes to ODST.

Do you know about time travel?

Singleplayer: ODST

Multiplayer: Halo 3

ODST had the single player campaign since Halo 2. It had a compelling story and when I was playing as The Rookie, I felt connected to him. The music set an amazing mood to the game and it was just fun to play.

Halo 3 had the best multiplayer because it just had that feeling that brought back memories of old LAN nights back in the day. I have probably put over two years worth of time in Halo 3 multiplayer.

The title says Halo 3: ODST OR Halo: Reach, not Halo 3.
