Subject: A theory about CG, and the Plot of the game.

Damn, I haven't changed this in like 4 years...

If the Forerunners technicaly created the flood, then Gravemind was created by the Foreunner. I beleive that Cortana and Gravemind will butt heads to save the universe using the Cheif. I beleive that Cortana knows all about the Ark. Notice how there are seven "prongs" of the artifact in the trailer. My theory is that it will take the seven monitors from the halos to activate the main fire control. My beleif is that the Covenant capture 6 of them, and the game is a race with Master Cheif using the intellegence of the CG (Cortana/Gravemind) team against the Covenant to capture 343 Guilty Spark.

In the final showdown, you have to destroy the Ark, and destroy the 7 monitors, and fight for the existince of Earth. Maybe the world ends, but the galaxy comes together, with the Humans and Covenant living in peace.

Maybe the ark is a safehouse. In the Noah story, creatures of all kinds were brought onto the boat.

Maybe the Humans and the Covenant will enter the safehouse, as the 6 Halos all explode. The result will be new life for all, and the Humans and Covenant will live piecefully

The ignorant work for profit, the wise work for the benefit of the world.

Pretty nice theory...

Plausable. 7 Monitors though? I'd kill myself.

I say, evolve, and let the chips fall where they may.

Isn't there 14 prongs?

I hope the world ends in Halo 3, I have yet to see that in a FPS.

sounds like it is deff possible and very likly, and almost sounds like you have been peeking into bungie's script, because they would deff do that.

The whole seven Monitors thing is very possible though cause it seems like there is a Monitor for each Ring: 343 Guild Spark for the first Halo and 2401 Penetant Tangeant for Delta Halo so it seems only logical to have a Monitor for EACH Ring.

Oh that is a very well thought theory sounds like a good game but maybe to much backtracking? i think they might use the weapons to syncronize to destroy each other

  • 05.10.2006 6:33 PM PDT

And yeah there IS 14, NOT 7

Damn, I haven't changed this in like 4 years...

There is 7 sets of two.

May the conspiracy begin.

I also added my "safehouse" theory to the mix.

The forerunners did not create the flood, they created the rings to contain the flood. The flood have probably been around as long as the Forerunners. I don't think even the Forerunners are advanced enough to create new species of life.

As defined in the Halo Book The Flood, the Flood was an incident of scientific error, and the Foreunner created the Halo rings as a result.

good theory, but i am a little confused. arnt the rings supposed to activate and destroy all life forms that are 'edible' to the flood. i remember cortana saying 'halo doesnt destroy the flood, it kills their food...covenant, human,whatever...'

and isnt the flood the main cause of concern now, i mean they literally screwed the covenant and humans, so thats what this game has to end - the pointless religious war and the flood.

Damn, I haven't changed this in like 4 years...

The monitors only have two tasks: Guard their assigned Halo from destruction, and find a Reclaimer to activate that Halo. Wouldn't it make sense that the se7en of them come together to carry out their second task? The point that the monitors would come together to destroy the Universe makes sense. So, my theory is realated to the fact that the Halos are activated to destroy the food.
