Vinyl Scratch knows how to get the feeling alright
We are going to dance and party tonight
Tonight is the night that we're gonna lose it
So spin that record Vinyl Scratch, and never stop the music.

I intend to showcase every forum on Bungie.net in one epic image. I will create it digitally and I will, most likely, enlist the help of more talented artists later on. I have a basic idea of what it will be, but given the scale and amount of detail I want in this ambitious project requires I call upon the collective ideas of the flood and community forums to help me build off of what I have.

_____________________________________________________________

The basic idea I have so far will be showing the forums as groups of characters from the Halo franchise.

In the center, near the bottom there would be the Flood, representing their respective forum. They would be standing in a stinking crater with a few deployment pods. Combat forms would be taking and dishing out fire from all directions. Infection forms would be scurrying outward, infecting any other forums they could get their feelers on.

To one side are the other Bungie forums and the private groups. They are represented by the Covenant. Private groups representing the Elites, keeping away from most of the hostilities going on. Public forums are shown by the Brutes, Jackals, and Grunts. They are depicted barking orders at one another, trying to retreat from the Flood as one or two Grunts are lost to Infection forms.

The Game forums are show by Spartan IIIs and Marines. They are fighting a losing battle against the Flood. Many dead and living Human Combat forms are present in this area. Friendly fire is rampant in the chaos.

Above all, in the center, watching over is the staff. Represented by Monitors. There faces yield little emotion, but you can tell they look upon it all in quiet disapproval and amusement. By their sides are the Moderators, taking the form of Sentinels. They shot energy beams out into the fray, trying to keep thing in control. They focus mainly on the center of chaos, The Flood.
_____________________________________________________________

That is what I have so far. I hope you can attempt to build off of that. If you didn't read the above I am still happy to hear your ideas.

I don't think Halo really works for a graphical representation of the forums.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I still see it in my mind.

I can think of nothing else that that the majority of users would agree does justice to Bungie's site.

This picture seems to have a very negative outlook towards the flood!

I love the Flood. They baptized me into Bungie. But that's what we do. I remember when we attacked the Reach forums. Ahhh. Memories

With regards to the flood forum you miss the point entirely.

Then, please, enlighten me. How may I create a more justified portrayal of the Flood?

Instead of pissing on his idea, telling him to stop and giving him a cryptic brief answer, why don't you elaborate a little more on why you've taken umbrage with this thread.

Personally I think it sounds pretty interesting and I look forward to seeing the final work. Good luck OP.

I agree, while Halo was a Bungie game, I thinks there needs to be a more broad representation for some of the forums such as the community forum.

If you have another idea, feel free to tell me, but I can't think of anything better than that myself.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I would rather use Myth to describe the forums...

The Flood Forum is comprised of the armies of the dark. Most people are thrall with some Ghouls, and a select few people are the Fallen Lords, the most active posters of the Flood. The most imposing people are Trow.

The community forum is the Legion, most of us are warriors, some of us are surely dwarfs, others Shovel Hobos.

The mods are the the Hero Guards, the best of the best chosen from thousands to help defend the kingdom from the armies of the dark.

The employees are the 9. Achronos is Alric.

Then there is the universe, The Tain, where everything non-Halo is stuck in a different world.

But, we are going against the Leveler, one which will bring destruction and wake in his Path, JOHN CENA.

But of course NO ONE here will read or understand this becuase IT ISN'T HALO. :/

Why not use iconic bungie characters, members and symbols such as things like the webmaster and or the soffish, I think that would be pretty cool.

Forum wars and raids are not what made the flood what it is. In fact, the influence of the cultures that encouraged such things is what seems to have taken away much of the flood's once unique identity.

Cry Havoc And Let Slip The Dogs Of War.

Try adding in some images from the other games Bungie has made. Halo isn't the only thing that will do "justice to B.net"
