Everyone thinks earth has been taken over

Am I the only one that thinks' those ships' were controled by Elite's? Think about the arbter Said he was going to the arc Well if the humans ARE the forunners That dome could be the arc so he took the Elite fleet to earth?

Also like he said Woulden't those ships (And banshees' attack John)? Not if the were earth's allies HUH!

Very true. That might be why the ships didn't attack John.

I doubt the elites at earth have any idea whats going on in high charity, sense slipspace transmissions take aprox. 8 hours, and the rebellion has only just started...

Earth completely taken over, i don't want to believe that all of its gone, sense africa isn't exactly a popular place to be... I just think reinforcements are still being sent from australia america russia and so on

They probably didn't notice him. Religious zealots tend to overlook all things small. =)

It would also kind of exlpain why the Covenant ships were turning around when the thing started to open up, maybe they were trying to STOP the thing from opening up but were too late...(sorry, my post was kinda choppy)

Well, I think it's safe to assume that whatever opened up in the canyon, whether it be the Ark or some other amazing machine, was built by the Forerunner. The Covenant will stop at nothing to get a look at their "holy relics," so they're probably the one's that dug it up and opened it.

I meant that if it was the Arbiter's Elites like he said, that these Elites know the truth about what the dome(most likely the Ark) was capable of and were turning the ships around to flee from what ever was about to happen. Ofcourse, we could all be thinking to much into this however.

They seemed to be in position very close to the structure. If they hadn't moved, they might have been killed in a likely collision or could have damaged it.

I meant that it was the Arbiter's Elites, the ones that now know the truth about the Great Journey and the Halos. But we all could be thinking to much into this whole thing though.

(Sorry double post)

True, but did seem strange that they seemed to be going up into the atmosphere by the way they were moving, like trying to get as far away from it as possible.

On another note, anyone notice how the clouds right above the dome are shaped and that the beam from the structure seems to go right up into it? Strange...

Would you attack a small human when your GREAT JOURNEY was complete?

Perhaps the ships were clearing the way for the Prophet of Truth to be the first to view the mysteries of the 'holy relic,' as the Covenant might refer to it.
