Reach's multiplayer revolves mostly around time consumption and less about skill. I play a bit and im a brigader but I don't know if im good or not. I want to get better so what would you define as a skilled player?

Anyone who claims the AR takes skill ought to shoot himself in the head. Preferably with the AR because they'll most likely miss with any other weapon.

One who knows how to work with all the weapons, communicate, always go positive, etc.

Do I really need a signature?

I would consider a skilled player someone who: parties up often and uses teamwork, who can often win a dmr duel, can use the armor abilities to their full extent, and can use most of the weapons in the game effectively. Also if you can't use a certain weapon or just despise it you can do one of two things: get better with it, or there is almost always another weapon near.

Your definition of what constitutes a good or skilled player is unique. Personally, I gauge how much I've improved over time against my earlier performance. For instance, I feel like I'm a better Halo player in general now that when I first picked up Halo 3 (or 2 or CE, etc).

To that end, I'm a better player than before, and I feel like that makes me a good player. Apart from that, it makes no difference to me.

Define your skill based on what you value. If you're looking for a pat on the head or a "wow! your k/d makes me want to play with you!" then don't come looking for praise on the forums. The trolls are always hungry.
