This has been poking around my head as of late, if John and Noble 6, jump high enough already with a 1,000 lbs suit, what would it be like if they took it off and jumped without it?

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

They'd jump less.

The MJLONIR armor enhances their strenght and reflexes. Since the suit is fusion powered, it gives enough power to last 15 years of continuous operation and the Spartan's feel almost as if they did not have an armor on.

As John said in TFoR ''Had I closed my eyes, I would have never known I was encased''. The Spartan's feel almost naked inside the armor, and since it increases their strenght, they'll jump multiple times higher than without it.

go to custom games in reach, and set the jump height to 75%.

They'd jump lower because of the way Mjolnir increases reflexes and strength. It's stated multiple times that john feels naked without his armour on.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

That is because he would probably be actually naked, though...

But he wouldn't because when in dress uniform for example when he goes to the brass at oni to report on the trasmission from the museum it is said he feels uneasy without his armour on.

He meant inside the armor...And no, they are not naked under the armor, they have body fitting undersuits (which have a medium degree of bullet proofing mind you).

Back on topic, John could jump over 3 meter fences in The Fall of Reach with the Mark IV, so I guess 1.5-2 meters without armor, I dunno.

Spartan IIs jump higher when wearing their Mjolonir suits.

That's the whole point of wearing an exoskeleton suit. You don't wear one to impede you movement. You wear one to boost your movement to superhuman levels.

As for Spartan IIIs, they don't have any of the fancy perks that IIs have, so they jump more or less the same as a fit, human athlete.

Mark IV? He was younger back then and therefor weaker.

Spartans grow stronger with age.

Also to that other guy, a spartan 3 would jump way higher then any human.

I HATE NOOBS

Armor doesnt have anything to do with they are genetically enhanced human test subjects so they are practically super human even without there suits they can still take the same amount of damage and have the same base traits. There for they could jump the same height.

I am guessing they could jump about 4 feet or so off the ground, as opposed to the usual 6 feet in armor.

What is this i don't....

That can easily jump 2 stories in Mark VI without even trying. I think there is a passage from TFoR or FS that implies how high they could jump in Mark V.

How is " what is this i don't even", "attacking"?

Stop crying and learn definitions.

Then why out of all of the posts on this thread did you quote mine? Not to mention replying seconds after a post has been posted just to personally call me a 'dick-rider'. How is that not attacking?

By the way you don't have to quote my post when it is directly above yours.

Because you post was inaccurate and you were serious, donut is clearly trolling. And that was one time in a different thread not this one. Stop being dramatic and thinking your so special.

Perks as in that the Spartan IIs got better bio-augmentations and their suits are better.

  • 12.31.2011 9:42 AM PDT

Didn't they jump about 3 meters in TfoR? I remember reading they jumped over 3 meter fences which is pretty much nine feet. Without it, max 5 feet, that's incredibly high if you think about it.
