This would be most illogical knowing that men (in real life) are superior to all women. Therefore, only men should be able to hold such a prestigious position as the main character in a story. Women are the bane of all existance (especially the one's who play video games).

All kidding aside, Master Chief is a cyborg. The suit would be the same for EVERYONE. Quit complaining about a petty matter... it won't change the game in any way at all... just pretend as if you are a girl if you want. They included a girl Marine because there is a facial matter within... which there is not with a Spartan.

And, to the one who suggested making a shorter model? Advantage? Less surface area to hit with bullets? Sorry dude, wouldn't work.

So, girls, don't play video games because they, like voting and several other aspects of life, should be restricted to the males.

Army Code on Women.

In the Army women cannot serve in the following: infantry, armor, cannon field artillery and short range air defense artillery.**

Forgot a sparten is part of the Marines

The Marine Corps assignments closed to women are infantry, armor, field artillery, security force guard protecting nuclear material, and several positions related to armored, amphibious, assaultunits and fleet antiterrorism security teams.

Male or female, Spartans look identical in the MJOLNIR armour, it's in the books. A female spartan in the game would be fine, and it would be workable into the storyline, but don't expect them to look any different from the Master Chief, except maybe in height.

I wouldn't agree with putting a female character in the game, unless we're talking about one resembling Kelly's figure. And besides, she wouldn't have ...um... her "SMG's" sticking out, because all inessential organs were removed during the Spartan II project...thus kinda ruining the femininity of the Spartan.

Uh, owe...

in the books, linda's armor was no different than any other spartans. she must have been flat chested or something. or maybe the suit just adjusts to the user

Yeah, the suit does adjust. It talks about it in the first book.

What if you play as an Elite? What does a Female Elite look like? If you look at the female Spartan in the new Dead or Alive game (or whatever it is) she doesn't even really look all that different from the Chief. I'm guessing all the genetic manipulation and cyborg implants pretty much balance out the body frame to look about the same for both.

I would like to see Linda or Kelly in there. Just for the heck of it.

As for the model, it would probably be the same as the Spartan men. Remember that they are basically 300 pounds of muscle outside of the armor, so in uniform they would probably be the same aside from facial features and maybe hairstyle.

Big whoop.

The "girl" marine has armor too different from the Chief and Arbiter.

i think they should put linda in there as it would meen that there would a an ai that is ment to use it in the game and that you would be free to smash in jackel heads up close and personal

also the spartans wont look identical as they are of different heights

You just want to have a reason to moleste yourself to halo without thinking your -blam!- when you look at master chief. Although the aspect of there actually being a woman spartan would be great, she would be smaller then the MC so she could hide better, more nimble, making her a perfect choice when Online.

I can't belive we are having this discussion, No you can't have a girl sparten while you are playing the game, Unless you are talking about multi-player. In the game you are not playing random joe "or jane" Spartin. You are playing Jon Spartin 116. The only exeption is when you are playing the Arbetur.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. You don't hear any guys complaining that they want a male skin in dead or alive: beach vollyball, now do you?

It's actually a credible idea in regards to the fact that there are two female Spartans still alive and can be called back into battle. We just don't know where they are.

Christ, I can't believe the misguided info I'm hearing here.

The spart armor is over 7 feet tall, and weighs several tons. It is also wide enough (in the chest) to acomadate breasts on women, without looking different.

(not to mentiont the fact that, in all honesty, spart women proubably wouldn't have any problem with the chest being to small, being conditioned like olympic athletes and all)

Anyway. This armor is big enough so that it would proubably look the same on any person who puts it on. Acording to the books.
Bungie could just change it, but from what we know in the books, this is true.

BTW: All spartans would also have identicle phisical atributes, because there armor is the same.

That'd be the USMC.
We're talking about the UNSCDF. There is most definately a female marine. Further, that point doesn't hold for SPARTANS, since they are part of the Navy. But there isn't any difference while in the armor physically, but the way they move would be different. Not that the game is anywhere near that level of detail
